This has been our problem for the last few seasons, the players that we want to keep get cherry picked and we are left with the dross and the expensive ones.

| Quote ="HamsterChops"Heard from a very good source at the weekend that the whole team certainly isn't staying full time. There may be the odd player who is FT, but most will be Part Time.
Obviously not official, but the guy who told me is rarely wrong.
If I'm honest, I've completely lost interest now. The lack of communication is just making me more and more apathetic towards the club every single day that goes by.
There's next to no chance of me being at Odsal next season, even if we ended up with Billy Slater, Cooper Cronk & Cameron Smith (the good one) playing for us.'"
Well that would be disappointing as it would spell the end of the academy surely.

| Losing the academy is a red line for the RFL (or it was when the ok'd ChaLo).
They've already told Fr13daY we're keeping the academy and getting a reserves side.

Yeah, we were told that the academy is expanding.

| Losing academy would be a red line for me too. Would be interested to know what "expanding" actually means.

| I was told we would run both a Tier1 academy and a Tier3 academy next year. Whatever that means.

| I know he doesn't get to play a full 80 in his position and may not have the experience of Moore and smith, but I personally would love to see Peltier captain the squad next year.
It's been far too long now since we've seen a player as dedicated to the club and the fans as he is. Too many journeymen looking for ill deserved pay checks that they couldn't con other teams into giving them and our young ones have been aligned behind them.
We may have a chance of squeezing another year out of the bentleys coming through the academy if the man leading the team bleeds red amber and black like Ross.

| Quote ="Bullseye"Surprised at the low votes for Evan Hodgson so far. He's a great prospect. Still only in the U19s.
Tomlinson I don't think has had enough gametime to make a decision.
Not surprised where other votes have and haven't gone - apart from Tonga who is getting on, won't be cheap and is injured more often than fit.'"
I certainly did. Think he has a good future ahead of him. Can also see Wilkinson becoming a pack leader in next couple of years. Few more votes for Davies than I expected

| I was undecided about Davies. So far he's been a bit 'Chris Feather'.
By that I mean huge bloke, expect plenty of damage from him but soon as he pulls a bulls shirt on any aggression seems to evaporate.

I think Davies runs very hard. But he coughs the ball up at least twice a game. Same with Margrin. Some of Davies's tackling leaves a lot too be desired too. I suppose he comes into that bracket of not particularly good, will probably look better in L1 and people keep him so we're not looking for another 10-12 signings.

Fair point and considering he had time out of the game before coming to us from playing a couple of games in the conference. Maybe a full pre season behind him will help. Seems level headed too with some posts in fb groups. Although I commented on a post of his about takes a lot of heart to do what you do! Had a woman messaging me saying you want to take them comments back hes played for leeds and penrith!

Total agree with that HAPEtobehere; most games he seems to put 150% in and comes across as a genuine guy, wears his heart on his sleeve and really wants us to do well

| Peltier is the sort of bloke you can't help but like. He's not the best player by any stretch. But out of all those players out on the pitch, he seems to care more than any of them. And it shows in his attitude and his pure willingness to be better than he is. You can see the passion and emotion in his game. No doubt part of it comes from being a Bradford fan as a kid, but I'd take that passion and that emotion over raw ability any day. It's the difference between a Karl Pryce (raw ability but no heart) and a Shaun Ainscough (lacking in some abilities but bloody gave it his all). I'd take Ainy over Pryce any day of the week.
Davies however, I'm not sure how people are defending. He's been sh*t every time I've seen him play.

| I don't rate Davies. He's even behind Kirk who's a heck of a lot to learn and was probably thrust in too early.

| Kirk's best days are three, four or maybe five years down the track. If he wants to play prop he needs to fill our more than anything and, with the best will in the world, that takes time.

Regarding Ross Peltier, I recall this article from the end of last season....
www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/s ... ord_Bulls/
Seems his commitment and dedication to our club has never been in question and has been there from day one, exactly the kind of bloke we need right now.

| Peltier (Bentley aside) has been our best forward.
However I think calls for him to be captain are OTT. You need your skipper to be an 80 minute player.

Agreed. Peltier is a class act, and as the saying goes "actions speak louder than words". He was a big lad at the Cougars but he worked hard in the off season. Gave up 2 months work in order to start training earlier than the rest of the lads and really got himself in shape. Hard working, always runs the ball in well and is Bradford through and through. Need to sign him up ASAP.
Davies on the other hand is the biggest waste of a prop forward shirt I have seen in a long time.

I though Lauaki went alright at the back end of last season. Seemed to have improved a lot. Davies however
