Every Leeds fan I've spoken to says he's well past his best. If we want to finish in the 8 we have to sign better than this or develop our own.

It depends how realistic we are being. Could he do a job for a side aiming to be top 4 next season - probably not. Could he be a good centre for a side finishing mid- table next year ie 6,7,8th - I think so. Although from what I have seen of him this year- I would prefer not. Did Keith not say himself recently that the first thing to go is usually the pace and he would consider his last season or two in the 2nd row?

True. Just think in this case it's too big a gamble. No one knows what level he would be able to play at when he comes back from his knee reconstruction and doubt he would come cheap like everyone seems to think anyway.

Its a bad injury to recover from and considering his age, will take longer than 6 months to recover, e.g. Peacock.

if senior wasnt injured i would deffo say yes but im not so sure now with the injury with him being 35 it will take longer!

With the addition of Lullia (Pardon my spelling), i think the centre spots are looking better. The cap space should be spent on other areas, such as a SH or Loose (sorry Langers!).

Don't get me wrong, if a class centre at the right age was available then lets explore the opportunity but Senior may not recover from the injury - BIG gamble in my eyes. We are supposedly building for the future and we have had enough players sat on the treatment table this year.

Platt and Chev (contract permitting) will only get better under Potter - Senior is not the answer to our problems. I'm also taking into consideration the comments made by some Leeds fans that have stated he has been poor this year, with terrible defence.

In his time, Keith was a class centre, but I don't think he will come cheap, he'll still demand a huge chunk of cash.

His injury is serious - look at Halley and Donno and how long they were out (Halley especially). As the players get older, the body naturally, takes longer to heal. Would be another gamble in a team of gambles IMO.

Will be a good signing for them ad Senior gets to stay in Yorkshire. Would rather keep Walker / Platt myself so glad he's not coming to Bradford.

TBH it was too risky not knowing how he would come back from first op. The second op combined with the NRL three quarter we're supposed to be close to signing should surely put any rumour of him coming to us to bed now.

However, has vestiges of some brown stains acquired when shirt was used only this week for a more appropriate purpose, not quite fully washed out. Also faint outline of word looks like "wakners" across the name "Crusaders". Apologies, but detergents and magic market remover today are not what they used to be".??

in seniors defence, he was my lads coach on rhinos under 15s scholarship this season and he is a really nice bloke, dont get me wrong before i knew him i felt like everyone else,on the field he certainly comes across as not a very nice bloke, but he is quite decent

On Substandard, when someone made a comment about he deserves whet he gets because sells stuff on eBay, I posted:

"Why the hell is seeking to generate the most income from your short playing career "greedy"??? Sounds to me he is more financially astute than a lot of others.
Looks like he has been shafted good and proper. Someone of his stature, ability and service to the game did not deserve that."

Yup. All banter aside, he's been a superb servant to the game, and everything I hear suggests he is a decent guy. Don't blame him for being hacked off.

Keith Senior has been fantastic player.

I agree with everyone who says Senior was a terrific player, because he was and has been for a long time. It's all past tense though, and even without the injury he'd probably have been on his bike from Leeds at the end of the season and for certain, the player he is now is not the answer to any or our problems.

Keith Senior is past his best, he has been for this season and for later part of last season. I think he was lucky to get another year at the start of this one. We dont need over the hill players we have had our fill of those. Leave him play for wakefield or someone like that. I dont think, no im sure we dont need him.
