He was fantastic against Leeds but what im saying is Herbert has produced more than both him and Sykes, was more of a pop at Sykes showing how poor he has been. If you get what I mean.

And as usual shows a complete lack of knowledge of what makes a good player or the requirements for a position.

Everything good we did today came from Herbert. Given the lack of power from our forwards, it wasn't unexpected that our halves were unable to get any control of the game.

you obviously missed his earlier swipe at O'brien who did nothing wrong for a player on debut IMO.

I really hope we pick up B4C2010 onto our coaching staff. His superior knowledge of player ability and requirements to play in SL could really help Potter out, as he clearly doesn't know what he's doing.

IMO we need a Burrow/ Robinson-esque player to play alongside Briggs or Herbert.

Or perhaps we should just see how Briggs and Herbert combine once they get a string of games together? Or even better.. when they're playing behind a pack that is pushing the opposition back and giving them some time and space to play in.

True but I think that type of player world work wonders alongside.

Good god, give the guy a chance he`s only played 2 games, there`s long way to go yet and remember we have a new team, miracles don`t happen over night. I know today`s game was really dismal and as a Bulls fan i was pretty disappointed with that lack of effort from the players today i`m sure potter will bring major changes to the team and start by dropping paul sykes hopefully will be one of them !

no he dint IMO it was your forwards that let you down today they were totaly out musceled by the Giants pack with and without the ball and we all know in this game if your pack loose the battle your backs have no chance. i read one post earlier in the week that the Bulls pack were going to muller there Giants counter parts,IMO the Giants have the best forwards in the league.

I'm yet to see much of Herbert so can't comment. But the weak link so far IMO is Ah Van, too slow for an outside back & without the defence of a Ben harris. Cas got 2 full length tries Saturday, hopefully they will target him at the weekend.

His defence does look a bit questionable. I'd like to see him put back on the wing with a decent centre - most likely Platt - on his inside to help him out with his defending.
But he's currently our top points scorer, one of the entire league's top points scorers, and so far (I think) the most accurate goal kicker in the whole league, so it's hard to seriously consider leaving him out of the side completely.

Still doing nothing almost 2 months later.

Time does seem to be against Marc at the minute. I do have faith that with a strong pack creating a platform for him he should be creating a lot of chances for our backs. Without that platform he cannot create any chances.

Very poor performance today from everybody involved today.

Thing is take Herbert out and who's creating any tries? Nobody! We have zero creativity.

Having seen the shambles today we should look at playing Briggs, Southernwood and Herbert in the side as it really wouldn't be any worse and we'd at least have more options to mess it up.

Hopefully we'll go down that route next week. Herbert to loose and Briggs/southernwood in halves. Ideal game to try it.

We are going to be missing at least one senior player - Elima.
Sykes if not injured cannot be allowed near SO again.
Rayner for Ainscough would seem obvious
Donno & Bateman will have to considered as well.
