To bring a balanced view to your argument Leeds play all their better U18's in the reserves while Bradford keep theirs down at U18 level.

But its all academic, cos everyone seems to agree on the number that matters - 52 - and that it was a right good stonking Leeds got.

I had the 4 in my mind from yesterday. It's hard to keep up when it's your 4th game of the weekend. There's more rugby than just first team rugby.

What's your take on our academy? Are they looking as good as that scoreline suggests? Were Leeds weak? Was it a fluke? I'm sure everyone is hoping its the first of those - and then of course that we get to keep and actually play some of them?

It's like I said in an early reply to one of your post. Leeds play all there better U18's at reserve team level we keep them at U18's.

On the U18's they are a good side but just like the first team the better players are forwards. Tom Lilycrop George & Tom Burgess, Andy Tate, Liam Mackay and James Donaldson are a very strong unite not many teams match them. Out of the backs Ben Helliwell(FB) is very good, both halves look sharp they could do with working a little on there passing. IMO the weakest are of the side is the wingers Ady Raw is a good centre but isn't as good on the wing. Centre is a problem mainly due to the fact that in the last 4 games there has been 4 different right centres and left centre Rob Hawthorne is still finding his feet after just joining the club.

The stand-off and Hooker both looked good in the academy.

Both played reserves last season, dropped back down so that they can play with the younger guys and get to know them, im more confident of players from academy coming thru than the reserves..form wise rick barr has probably overtaken crossley, hes not as good but is getting thru more work recently.
In academy hopefully helliwell, hawthorne, raw,olbison,wardle, t burgess, obrien, g burgess, lilycrop, tate, donaldson will deffo come thru..along with hyde, crookes, crossley, barr, whitehead and possibly jode sherriffe who impressed me this season then we could have a very good young team in a few years, possibly as little as 4 yrs away if we can keep them all together..i`d rather be in our shoes than leeds`.
