| Let's imagine a new club gets started
We sign all previous playing staff from the first team who are currently without clubs.
Who else is a free agent that we could bring in to beef up the squad?
Any names off the top of our heads?
Scott Moore
Ryan Bailey

| I may have totally missed who these people have signed for, but I'm pretty sure they were released by previous clubs...
Jordan Tansey (Wakey Utility)
Josh Johnson (Huddersfield Prop)
Kevin Larroyer (KR Back Row)
Paddy Flynn (Widnes Wing)
If they haven't signed for other clubs, I think they'd improve our current options. Tansey admittedly as backup, but Johnson, Larroyer & Flynn would all be decent additions.

| Hahaha some real characters on that list already!
Rohan (if he's still the coach in this scenario) would have his work cut out.

| Wouldn't touch Scott Moore. More likely to be playing for HMR Prison for more of the season than us.

Indeed. But as I mentioned elsewhere, we're very much in the "beggars can't be choosers" category at the moment. Tansey is the only one on the list who I'm not sure is that much benefit, but that's if we keep Moss. If Moss goes, we could do with better fullback options now that Clare has gone too.

I'd say Howarth is very likely now that O'Brien has moved on. Rohan clearly saw something in him last season to pick him over AOB in the Fev game.
Not convinced I've seen the same, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him come in should we re-form.

| I'd have Howarth back maybe as he's quite versatile.
Tansey is a bit of an alecart. If we lose Moss it's Campbell, Thomas or Pickersgill at fullback.
Don't need Williams as we still at the moment have wingers in Ryan, Caro, Campbell, Rickett and Macani

| Also there maybe perhaps those that Rohan may not wished to have kept hold of but had to because of longer contracts.
Should we honour those original deals or look to bring in other players of better available?

| If Vila gets a stay of execution i'd be amazed..
I think no matter how desperate we are we either need to use the fringe players Lowes brought in on 3 year contracts or loose them.
We can't afford to be wasting money like the good old Ferres and Lowes days, I'm sure there will be others available.

Well Lumb played a number of games last season and didn't look out of place. Is he now capable of a full season with minimal rotation or do we need to be aging two hookers in each game?
I don't like how the dummy half role has become in British Rugby League and I suspect with bringing Stuart Howarth last season Rohan Smith is looming for something more going forward than a dummy half runner.
Is Vila that player, is Vila up to the standard of Championship?
I don't know to either of those so I would probably try and bring in Howarth so long as we could afford him.

| if we have a scrum half to start the season we are already doing better than last year.
My Neighbour is Batley fan and raves about Campbell, as do a lot of their followers saying they want him back, it would be good to see him get a fair crack of the whip.

| I don't know why but I find it quite amusing we are going into the 2017 season (if we do) with an abundance of halves (Pryce, Chisholm, Keyes, Thomas, Trueman) and no second rowers! Couldn't write that haha!

I hadn't thought of that, but yes if all current free agents re-sign again, that's exactly right. It's like some kind of backwards world
Remember when our only worries were Danny Addy as our best scrum half option? Oh for those days...

I remember when our main concern was Marc Herbert being our best scrum half option

| I'd be happy with that in a way. Keeps a quality goal kicker on the field, gives him gametime and won't be a long term option there!

Played there for Ireland recently iirc.
Anyway let's concentrate on keeping him first

| So, bit of positivity. Should everything go how we want and we end up as we are witht he current players in tow how would you guys like to see us line up considering the players who havent left, i'd like to see
1.Moss
2.Macani
3.Foster
4.Ryan
5.Caro
6.Pryce
7.Chisholm
8.Joseph
9.Lumb
10.Magrin
11.Burr
12.Bentley
13.Kavanagh
14.Keyes
15.Peltier
16.Kirk
17.Oakes
Face of it a reasonable side with points in the backline. I'd love to hope come season start theres the possibility of signing at least one more prop and 2 back rowers

| Just assuming we actually have a club for a minute - this is novel.
It would be a great move if Keyes can cover hooker. As you say we'd have a goalkicker on the field and have a bit more flexibility if Rohan wants to change things around.
If some of the overseas lads need to wait for visa clearance we could need some loans (however with Chisholm apparently being an EU citizen and Moss having a UK passport (according to Bullmania) then it'd just be Burr that would be hanging around for clearance.
I could see Thomas at fullback for Moss for a period or maybe Campbell or Mendieka.
The forwards are where the real weaknesses lie. In the backrow other than Burr and Joseph we're relying on lads with a sum total of first appearances of 1 sub. Unless you put Foster back there.
