I've been there lots of times following speedway in the past, I guess it's not improved then..

That's the one.The only decent bit of terrace/vantage point was condemned
prior to our recent visit.

I recollect that London [crusaders, as were used to play at Barnet Copthall, which basically as a running track, was very similar to Owlerton with hardly any actual terrace. Certainly not the best places to watch action in the middle, it has to be said.

Its not great Owlerton, one more year maximum of the place in 2015 then hopefully a new ground, you'll all be sure of a warm welcome, unlike the smug welcome awaiting you down the road at the Shay.

I always liked my trips to the Che stadium.

i bet the 3 pidgens pub is rubbing there hands at the bulls relegation , as for the grounds we will be visiting there are just 3 questions that need to be asked ,is there a bar ,is there a burger van ,is there a bog , me im looking forward to visiting some new grounds .glass half full

That might make the Bulls feel more at home but I dont think Smug have been together for quite a number of years now.

Well your visit to the LSV at Leigh , will show you what a superb facility we have , plenty of Drinking places , Legends Bar on site ,and the Wren Pub ,as well as the ;Park Inn , and plenty of Bars inside the Stadium , along woth food facilities , an good clean toilets .Charlie knows .

I can assure you that all the grounds you visit will have the requirements you need, especially Howlerton, it has a bar a burger van and it's the biggest sheite hole you have ever seen.

To be fair to Charlie we havnt always seen eye to eye but its clear he does know his rugby even if he can talk a bit of sheet at times.

IIRC. There is / was little terracing and the view is likely to be less good than Don Valley, I'd guess. Owlerton was brilliant for watching speedway, not sure sure for rugby though, as I say, I haven't been there for yonks - guess I'll find out!!

Well funnily enough - being a closet Eagles fan - and not wanting to see another thrashing at Odsal - we watched Eagles V Featherstone in May this year...

Difficult to find the right words really, once inside it felt like it was 1972. Its primarily a dog track and nothing else.
I felt sorry for Sheffield, being forced into playing here - its going to be difficult for them.

There is no terracing - its a concrete slope so you just jostle for a view with your feet pointing down at an angle.

Toilet and food facilities are OK and the Eagles do try to make it welcoming - I would think if Bulls build up a decent away following - there could be a few laughs ahead - packed onto the sloping concrete.
