| These are the remaining 13 games to play, six at home and seven on the road...
June
Wakefield Wildcats (h)
Salford Red Devils (a)
Hull Kingston Rovers (h)
Warrington Wolves (a)
July
Catalan Dragons (h)
St Helens (a)
Huddersfield Giants (a)
Wigan Warriors (h)
August
Leeds Rhinos (a)
Hull FC (h)
Castleford Tigers (a)
September
Widnes Vikings (h)
London Broncos (a)
We play each Super League team once more and the question is which of the remaining games do we think are must wins?
Me personally, I feel that July will be a horrendous month and I think we'll struggle to win one of those games. However, games in June are definitely winnable and the run in after Leeds away could be our saviour... three out of the four we should be competing in.
In each of the last 5 seasons (since moving to a 14-team competition) 15pts has been enough to secure 12th place. Therefore, depending on points deducted after the appeal we would need as follows:
0pts back = 8 wins from 13 games
2pts back = 7 wins from 13 games
4pts back = 6 wins from 13 games
6pts back = 5 wins from 13 games
I'd say the must wins are: Wakefield, Salford, Hull KR, and London
Could wins are: Catalans, Hull FC, Castleford and Widnes
No chance of a win: Warrington, St Helens, Huddersfield, Wigan and Leeds
I might not think we have the right coaching team, but I still think we have a strong enough team on paper to at least compete in eight of the remaining games.... which gives us a chance!!!

The spreadsheet is still where it was before. It still has us going down, after the recent debacles. I could devise one that fiddled the figures to show us staying up however badly we play, if enough people want, but I don't think in terms of the real league table it will work, frankly.

| At my most optimistic, we could only win seven of those fixtures. Wakefield would need to have an absolutely abysmal second half to the season for 14 points to be enough to stay up.
I'm not factoring in the points appeal because I don't for one second think we'll get anything back from that.

| Whilst I'm reasonably confident we'll beat Wakey by a convincing score, i sadly fear that we haven't seen the last of that version of the team that mystifyingly doesn't bother turning up. So I reckon Nothus has it about right, and I can't see any reason to be optimistic about the appeal either. Not on the very little we know.
But doubt even 6 points back would now be good enough given the way we lurch from competent to absurdly rubbish for no obvious reason. Even with points back, we would need to string a consistent run of reasonable level of performance together, and that is precisely what the players have so convincingly shown they are incapable of.

| Well, we seem to be getting the 'cream of the crop' back for the business end, so providing we can keep them fit for the rest of the season we may have an outside chance, and to be fair it leaves few excuses if everyone is playing in their 'normal' position.

| I'd just settle for us at least being competitive in those final 13 games. I think we'll win 4 or 5 more at best and that just won't be enough.

| We have to treat evey game as must win. Providing we win on Sunday we are 6 points behind Wakey (let's forget about the appeal for time being) that means we have to win 3 more games than Wakefield from the last 12. Lets replicate Wakey's form from the first half of the
Season and say they win 4 games again. So we need to win 7 games from the last 12.. That will put us level on points. Unfortunately due to our excellent character, our points difference is way worse than Wakey's so theoretically we have to win 8 from out remaining 12.
The chances of us winning every single one of the "winnable" games (Widnes, Salford, Hull, KR) is slim. Especially considering we have already lost to all of them already this season. It really is looking bleak.

I can't see us getting anything from any of these games. Assuming we lose the above fixtures, I think we have to win the rest of our games, starting on Sunday against Wakefield.

| IMHO i can only see us getting 2 wins, Wakey and London...maybe a 3rd win if Salford have a bad day,
Cant see us beating any of the other teams.
However, i have come to terms with the fact we will more than likely be relegated and am looking forward to the away days at Batley, Dewsbury, Keighley, Halifax etc

| Our hardcore support in SL seems to be 5k. If we can be competitive, there's probably another 5k floating around that could be interested in watching some games.
I've no idea what our support would be like in the championship.
At the end of the kids training day yesterday, our chairman was trying to convince all the adults there to come along on Sunday.

I would have thought by default they only open the seats but for bigger games standing areas can be opened.
But you have to question just how viable odsal is going to be in sl2 at all.

| It's a funny situation at the moment. I think most of us deep down know that we are going to be relegated, yet somewhere cling onto some hope that we may not be. Somehow.
At what point do we have to accept that it's all over and start thinking about next year? I suppose by the end of this next week, it may well be all over.

well you will have gathered I personally know we are relegated. I don't say that smugly, it's just for me it's not worth the heartache from pretending otherwise.
So I think about the practicalities of staying at odsal etc. I respect anyone who wants to cling on to hope for a while yet but it's not for me.

| On reflection, when we were not in Super League we had crowds of about 2000, the ground was owned by the Council and therefore they did the upkeep. We are in a very different position now. Our landlords, as far as I am aware do not upkeep the ground and the charges are £72000 per year rent. In essence the Club would be saddled with large debts without doing anything. All very depressing - just hope we can keep in SL -

| I doubt the club would want to be paying £72k + upkeep, per annum in the Championship. Which brings on the possibility that, if the club decides to take a cheaper alternative and moves out of Odsal, the conditions of the RFL's primary lease it would then become null and void as a Bradford team wasn't playing most of its games at the ground. Maybe the club could then retake the primary lease from the council........using peppercorn as the rent natch.
As for the rest it's very much a series of open questions; will the owner stay or go? how many players would we lose? [with no team being promoted, how many would actually get another contract elsewhere?, would many of them remain, but on lower contracts? How much effect will the new competition monies [and slightly higher cap for lower division clubs have on how many could be retained? Maybe most importantly, what is going to happen to the academy system and training ground?
I would hope a city the size of Bradford would attract more than a "couple of thousand", to be honest. With a team which is winning [oh dear gods of RL, please a few more games than recently and playing well, all be it at a lower level, I would have thought maybe 3 -4 K as a realistic baseline. Anyway, best we win as many as possible of these games, as said before, there is always the unexpected win or loss in the equation - let's hope for more wins.

| I am saving up so that when we avoid relegation I can go to the pub and get pi**ed.
If we get relegated I can also afford to go to the pub and get pi**ed. It's a win, win situation regarding having a night out at the pub so not everything looks gloomy.

| The Dog Fight starts here and Looking at both The Bulls and Wakefield's remaining fixtures i reckon that we have got by far the easier run in
IMO I believe we will need at least a 2 point return from the appeals committee to take the relegation battle down to points difference
Wakefield Wildcats remaining fixtures and my predicted outcome
London Broncos Home win
Wigan Warriors Home loss
Hull FC Home loss
Leeds Rhinos Home loss
Widnes Vikings Home loss
Catalan Dragons Away loss
Warrington Wolves Away loss
Huddersfield Giants Home loss
St Helens Away loss
Salford Red Devils Home Win
Castleford Tigers Away loss
Hull Kingston Rovers Home loss
I can see them only winning 2 more games this season against London and Salford = 4points
Bulls remaining fixtures and my predicted outcome
Salford Red Devils Away loss
Hull Kingston Rovers Home win
Warrington Wolves Away loss
Catalan Dragons Home win
St Helens Away loss
Huddersfield Giants Away loss
Wigan Warriors Home loss
Leeds Rhinos Away loss
Hull FC Home Loss
Castleford Tigers Away Loss
Widnes Vikings Preview Home Win
London Broncos Away Win
I can see us winning games against Hull KR, Catalans, Widnes & London = 8 points
Thoughts..........

| Think the next few weeks are crucial. We cannot afford to lose momentum. Definite improvements needed. Definitely need O'brien to return and someone will have to step up and fill in Kaufusi's huge boots (Walker certainly isn't the answer, although I'm sure Cummins will stick with him. )Stand off needs addressing as well, Addy is too slow to be a half back. If we're going to stick with Gaskell at FB, i would try Brook in next week. Full bloodied challenge cup game, in which we have nothing to lose. Try him, let's see how he does.
