Whilst I really dont want to get more involved in this thread than this one comment, I would say that to be fair to ME when I read the original thread, ME's comment seemed a fair responce to Blottos comment on McNamara to me. I know ME obviously has form for his comments on McNamara, but in this case I think his rep has put a spin on how people have read his responce that probably was not intended in this case.

I took the comment to be, "surely Mcnamara can make his own mind up about Willie Mason and would not have to rely on following Smith's view. Why are you suggesting he can't?"

If ME meant it to be another dig (which I know he is prone to) It didn't come across as one to myself, and he was not the one responsible for thread drift in this case.

You have a beef about thread derailment. This is based on an entirely reasonable assumption that you were misinterpreted. There wouldn't be the slightest problem in making your "feelings clear" that you had been misunderstood. It happens both ways, you know. It was clear to me at the time that the post by Adey that sparked one of your largest eruptions was not even aimed at you, but at a certain multi-aliased poster.

I can't however, see where anyone (and there are no untouchables on this) gets the entitlement to bandy terms like "bumchum" or to question the integrity of moderators who have not even been involved in the thread up to that point.
