Out of the four signings made in the off-season, he seems to look the worst at the moment. What sort of winger drops balls which would have given him an easy try (several times). He has made decent breaks, and i'll give credit where it's due, he hasn't been too bad in defence, but we need to see some improvement from the lad.

He's done some good stuff and some pretty daft stuff for us too. He definitely needs to work on his positioning in defence and his ball handling skills can be clumsy. But he has showed that with the ball in hand, he can finish and find some holes. Mixed bag so far, but not sure he needs his own 'worse signing for 09' thead.

Suppose not, but I thought it was worth bringing up and couldn't find another thread relevant. Think he just needs a little tweaking and will come good, time will tell.

As with most players, he's probably suffering with low confidence. As the team improves, I hope he will too. Playing with confidence can and hopefully will make a huge difference for Rikki

And if we were naming names, I would rate Scruton as a bigger disappointment so far. I am confident that he will steadily improve and I think he slowly is starting to find his feet at the Bulls.

I wouldn't rate Scruton as a disappointment at all, he has put some hard work in and hasn't made too many mistakes.

I expected more from Scruton than I did from Sheriffe though, I think he has looked better in the last few matches though.

That doesn't really mean much unless you compare it to the other forwards in the team.

Well at least we can say both Beaver and Worrlord were cracking signings. I didn't expect too much from Worrincy but, my has he proved me wrong. We always knew Menzies would be immense though.

833 metres in 11 games and many of those he started isn't great if anything it's disappointing.

No it's not good for a front line prop and he can't be classed as a young prop he's 24 with a lot of first grade experience.

I think we can say in the form we've been in the stats aren't going to look good for anybody.

I've heard the sayin 'We're all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars'. Does anybody know of the opposite equivalent for Bulls fans. The closest I can get is the old joke about the bloke that finds a pay packet in the street and moans about the amount of tax taken off.

So we can't comment on the players form now can we even though they have been disapointing. No wonder people don't post on here if you don't bull up the club at every opportunity you get slagged to piece's.

I'd hardly say anything on this thread remotely resembles anyone getting "...slagged to pieces"? But my own comment was prompted by seeing yet another thread on here singling out a player, when - as people have pointed out - that may not be entirely fair. Your own comment above re three centres tended to support that, even?

Just seems to me that now Platt seems to have dropped off the radar for now, we have to find a new target. Maybe it was slight over-reaction, but you must surely agree that when the team has done well we see far less comment on here than when they have not? I was just trying to put myself in the player's position, and wondering what the player would think - especially when we all surely realise that confidence has been in short supply and is hopefully (but only) now starting to return. At least he put himself in a position to score - and to make a mistake - last Saturday.

For me Sherriffe started poorly but has improved every match I have see him in and I think he is now well worth his spot.

In fact this season I think all the signings are showing lots of potential. A few had disappointing starts but that is true of the team as a whole. Overall I am feeling pretty optimistic at the moment.

He needs to put some time in on his catching skills, that or they should spray his hands with sticky stuff throughout the game
