| According to Examiner Live (Matt Shaw):
Bradford Bulls have parted ways with head coach Mark Dunning, Rugby League Live understands.
Dunning is understood to have been relieved of his duties after a meeting with the club's hierarchy on Monday. It came less than 24 hours after a humiliating 46-12 defeat to Championship strugglers Barrow Raiders. The Bulls conceded 42 unanswered points in Cumbria, which condemned them to a fourth loss in six games.
That was ultimately the final straw for the Bulls, who find themselves eighth in the Championship after 10 games. An announcement is expected later today.
Dunning landed the job permanently after being placed in interim charge last July after a successful interim period. He had taken over from John Kear last April but the Bulls struggled at the end of last season, eventually finishing ninth and 14 points adrift of the play-offs.
The Bulls had won five of their opening seven games this season, which included impressive wins over Toulouse Olympique and Sheffield Eagles. However, they have suffered heavy defeats to local rivals Keighley Cougars and Halifax Panthers in recent weeks before their humbling defeat in Cumbria. Dunning leaves with a record of 14 wins in 32 games in charge.

| No surprise really. What odds we giving that Noble takes over as coach?
Or are we conducting another Worldwide search of high calibre coaches first?

A worldwide search to eventually employ the tea lady.

| Now Confirmed. Lee Greenwood to take charge on an interim basis. Feel for Dunning but ultimately the right decision.
There were some great wins in there, however the challenge of the coach is what you produce when things are going against you, and sadly, the absolute humiliating hammering were becoming to frequent.

| I’d say we have two weeks to get a coach in. Ideally need one before Keighley at the Bash.
I’d be looking at:
McDermott
Anderson (if we can pry him from England duties for a few month)
Ward
Ford (unless he’s waiting to take over Applegarth)
I’d even take Noble until the end of the season if he wants it (and we actually perform a proper search for the end of the season).

That quote was a disaster for the club. It can't be another 10 week interview process. Indentify the person you want, approach him and get him signed up like York did with Henderson.

| McDermott would be an improvement but he has just got a job in the NRL so I can't see him wanting to return to the Championship.
Ford will likely get the head coaches job at Wakefield in the Championship next season.
I'm struggling to think of any decent coaches who are available and would want to apply for the bloody job.

Tbf I thought McDermott had only got a consultancy gig so might be tempted by a coaching one. Whoever it is, needs to be the right one.

Surely not given how irrelevant we are these days?? Although others do still reveal in our struggles which I always find bizarre.
Not sure who we get next or who would even want it. Biggest poisoned chalice in the game unfortunately.

| I don't care who comes in but they need to identify what's causing the capitulations and rid ourselves of the rot. This madness started under Kear and hasn't properly gone away since. Is it one or two bad apples dragging the full group down?

| Sorry for Dunning. He did a good job of ship-steadying initially and then got shut of most of the overweights, with the others returning very much trimmer this season.
Odd that he was in charge for the signings of Segeyaro & Baitieri then not afforded the time to see if they effected an upswing in results.

| I must say it is one of those times where despite calling for a new coach, I still feel disappointed. I've never met Mark Dunning but he does come across as a decent guy who did his best for the club but was ultimately let down by the players.
I do think the board have to be accountable as well. They did a fantastic job of convincing some supporters that it was all John Kears fault. But they appointed a rookie coach to appoint him who didn't exactly set the world alight during his interim period. I can't say I feel that confident they will make a better decision this time around.. but we can live in hope. We've certainly had our fair share of dross despite a reasonable Championship budget to work with.
If there are some bad apples in the squad, they ought to be following MD out the door.

I’m one of the people who thought he should never have got the job. I have no doubt he’s a nice guy and loves the club. But he was out of his depth and needed to go. You say the players have let him down, and I partially agree. But if that’s the case, where were the changes? Being nice gets you nowhere. He unfortunatley didn’t have the tactical nouse to change things for the better. He was a great youth coach so I am sad he’s not continuing in that sort of capacity as he would have been a good asset in that respect.
On paper we have a very good squad (albeit some injuries). The new coach needs to get the best out of them. How long are Holmes and Lawrence out for?
