Is it correct that Mick is no longer connected with BCB as someone informed me last night.Perhaps the great man himself could confirm or deny.??

Mick seems to have taken a lot of stick off this board - rightfully or wrongfully - is down to our own perception of things.

My mum (god bless her soul) used to say "if you cant say anything nice about someone - dont say anything at all".
So I refuse to slate Mick; or any Bulls players past or present.

I thought his commentary on BCB (and provident/bulls tv) was miles better than on sky.
Try turning the volume off and commentating (professionally) on any Bulls game and if you can do a better job - contact BCB for job.

We are all entitled to our own opinions; and if people have an axe to grind with Mick - that's their choice.
If Mick has left BCB, I personally wish him all the best for the future.

Yes it's the same guy, for e.g we are losing 24-0 and he states the obvious ( this game is going away from us we need to start tackling )

Many forget that Mick and Hobbo, first and foremost, are fans. As such they get as fed up as the rest of us when things aren't going well and sometimes it comes across. Mick's done a brilliant job, imo and if he's left then I wish him nothing but the best.

Agreed plus what people also need to remember it's also voluntary the hours he puts in to research and stuff are a lot for no money. He doesn't cover himself in glory on social media but for me his commentary is superb

Top bloke whose commentaries were paced to the action..rare these days.I noticed he has removed his name from the twitter a/c ,hope he hasn't left us, think he may have taken a break.

I give Mick more stick than most, but none of that stick is related to his commentary. Every time I've listened, I've thought it very good, especially for someone who's essentially an amateur. Sure he has his "traits", but I prefer to listen to him than Eddie Hemmings or that posh bloke doing the Toronto games. It is a big shame if he's sacked it for good.

That said, I understand it's Pete Dutton that is doing the commentary now (whether it's temporary or permanent). I've met Pete once or twice in the amateur game and he's a good bloke. What his commentary is like, I may find out today if I get chance to listen.

Living down south I look forward to listening to the matches on BCB. That has a lot to do with micks commentaries. Shame if its true that he has been replaced.

Why would he have to be anyone at Odsal cup of tea? Thought BCB was entirely separate? Take what he says with a pinch of salt but he's been just about the only source of information recently.

Actually, that makes me think about a few comments on here which seem to have emanated from people with some apparent 'connection' with the club and I really hope the reason does't turn out to be due to any complaints from the club.

Mick is the best commentator I have heard by far. If it wasn't for his thick accent and regional dialect then he would be commentating professionally I reckon.

I have always enjoyed Mick's time on the radio before games. It is Hobson who irritates me the way he runs hot and cold and criticises. Always getting his facts wrong. Mick rarely criticises and is a decent commentator.
I wouldn't be surprised if it is a combination of Odsal / Tong and the main sponsors who have edged him through the door.

Missed Mick's commentary and passion today, not enough info given as regards field position, tackle count etc.
I didn't feel part of the game as was the case with Mick G.
