vpn willing lol .... sounded like we gave too many pens away when we should have been penning them down in their own half, having said that, Sheff made too many errors in our end of the field

big worry is we have too many pivots that are temp or loans .... looking forward to input from bulls fans who were at the game

Comfortable win in the end, although there was a brief period in the second half when we seemed to be rocking a bit.

Some great attacking play and quite a stretch of good defence in our own quarter. Bentley was the obvious standout - he really is a star of the future - John Bateman mark 2 - both in appearance and playing style.

If only we hadn't blown the game against Oldham we'd actually be off the bottom tonight, on points difference over Dewsbury! Who would have thought that back in January?

all our games should be siege mentality .. doesnt matter ... what matters is the end of the season, we'll win some and lose some but our attack (being the 3rd best in the league) is still posting points, silly pens and errors is costing us

Very solid performance with some stand out moments of attacking flair. James Bentley was outstanding today. And I'm sure Daniel Murray did 80 mins.

Are Sheffield the dirtiest team to come to Odsal this season? Seemed to take every opportunity to slow the ball down or take a cheap shot. Disappointing, they were their own worst enemy most of the time.

But -2 now, would be good to hit zero on Friday against our dear neighbours.

Good result. Never looked quite comfortable until late on. Usual culprits (Margrin) dropped the ball when it wasnt quite going our way. But we were improved in that area from last week. Interesting that every time the ball came out from us it was a kmock-on yet Sheffield had it stolen every single time. As others have said Bentley a stand out. Roche and Murray were superb as well. Oh and lets see if the RFL let off an act of thuggery go unpunished for the third week in a row. Sheffields no.16 cowardly punch on Ryan while he was on the ground was disgusting. Linesman yet again did nothing! After watching Westwoods clothes line on Sutiffe and only get a sin bin, the RFL need to get a grip of player welfare. Far too many serious foul play incidents being let off.

I doubt we've heard the last of Westwood's assault on Sutcliffe. I expect him to be cited this week. Whether the same will apply to our game is more debatable - I didn't see the incident myself so don't really know how bad it was

I agree though about the much better ball retention this week. OK, there were one or two silly mistakes but there is in any game - overall we drastically cut down on the silly mistakes this week.

I didn't go to Oldham but I'm guessing that if we'd played like we did today we'd be on zero points now

Strange game really, there's no way we were 32 points better than that Sheffield side, I actually thought they were on top for large parts of that game.
Thought Davies went well enough, some strong runs and no errors.

I'm not sure we'll be picking up any points from the next two games but we're still in a decent position for the rest of the season.

lilley and moore i keep hearing ... we still have to fill these pivitol positions as they are not perma. regardless .. its a team game and the spirit throughout seams immense. we will still lose some games but if this togetherness persists we could be scratching at the top 4

Thought Lilley had his best game for us! Leigh Beattie saying could be returning to Leeds for Easter

Some nice kicks, and he made one clean break through some tired defence. But in all honesty he's not standing out at this level. He's still a tiny bloke and his pace and acceleration aren't good enough for him to trouble sides. He tried to step his way over for a try a few times today and Sheffield dealt with the threat easily.
He tries hard though, that much is clear to see. And he's still only 20 so time is on his side.

But right now, if I was in charge of picking the side, I'd be putting Keyes in at 7 in front of him.

From a neutral, as I had to be today, that was really disappointing as a contest. Was hoping for a proper good game with the result in doubt till the end
