| The thread on Macani made me think of a Bulls XIII that would attract the most ire from the crowd. Here's my effort.
Platt - At fullback Platt was capable of some amazing blunders
Sheriffe - I still have nightmares+
Sykes - See Platt
K,Pryce - Built like Tarzan, played like Jane
Macani - See thread
Herbert - We were desperate for a halfback and got this backpacker.
Sjieka - Lowes like him. That was about it.
Paul Grayshon - Lived in the shadow of his Dad at Northern.
Addy - Got some dog's abuse
Hall - Not up to it but didn't deserve the criticism
Nero - Or "Zero" as he was popularly known
Worrincy - Possibly McNamara's worst signing
Langley - Gave 100% but got abuse for being unable to pass.
Honourable mentions for Nick Zisti and Matt Orford.
Have I missed anyone

| Justin Brooker I remember dropping a hat trick of tries in a leeds Derby the man never manged to win me back over.
James Evans- was a quota player who blocked youngsters progression for me.
Marcus st-Hilaire, urgh.
Chev- nice bloke good in his early career but he needed to retire long before he did.
Iestyn......
Semi Tadulala - despised this bloke as he started to look disinterested and remember him having a heart that seemed to shrink over his spell with us. some may say I am harsh but hey ho..

| Kopczak - not so much for how he played but the dog act on walking out on his team mates.
Lauaki - same as Siejka
Blythe - Tried hard but was just pants. Probably not helped by a coach playing him on the wing. In fact James Lowes has a a lot to answer for.
Be interesting to see out of Mcnamara and Lowes which fans disliked the most. Mcnamara was a crap coach but did a lot for our youth setup. Jimmy was worshipped by the players and i think he would be a perfect no.2. But his selections, signings and favouritisms cost us the MPG and top 4 last year. Who signs a retired knacakard FB when you already have 4. Two of whom you signed in the off-season.

Lauaki was hopeless yet didn't get a tenth the abuse Addy used to get despite him putting in 100% more effort that Lauaki. Blythe tried his nuts off but often the harder he tried the worse he got.
I think with both Lowes and McNamara you could say they were good No 2 coaches and making them head coach didn't work.

| Tame Tupou. For the same reasons as Karl Pryce.
I too would have Lauaki in there ahead of Glenn Hall. Hall at least did one good thing in a Bradford shirt and had extenuating circumstances that made it difficult for him from the start. Lauaki was just fecking useless.

| I always used to enjoy watching Karl Pryce do keepie uppies during the pre-match warm ups during his second stint at Odsal. He couldn't look any more disinterested if he tried. He had bags of potential but no heart. If he applied himself he could have been one of the best wingers of the Super League era.

| A few others that come to mind...
Jean Philipe Baile - never did anything worthwhile with us
Jamal Fakir - another useless French import
Nathan McAvoy - one moment of magic in the Cup Final, otherwise hopeless
Jeff Wittenberg - just awful...
Tame Tupou - sicknote
Abi Ekoku - could have been a world beater if he'd had the heart for it
Epalahame Lauaki - do I need to explain?
A few from further back
Kel Earl - couldn't catch a ball to save his life
Stuart Carlton - one of the worst centres you'd ever see
Phil Jackson - had the talent but never had his heart in it
Ken Kelly - signed from St Helens and went missing soon after
Jack Austin - past it even before we signed him
Craig Richards - looked the part, but never fulfilled potential

| Craig Richards. I remember him bursting onto the scene and looking devastating then disappearing almost as quickly.
I'll see your Fakir and and Baille and raise you a David Fraisse.
Oh and a Eugene Bournville.

| Excellent thread. Got to agree that Stuart Carlton wasn't the greatest but I recall he did score the only try for us standing in for the injured Sir Keith in the 1974 John Player final at Wilderspool. A mighty 3-2 victory when a try = 3 points and a drop goal = 2.
Also a bit harsh on Eugene Bourneville who hung around the area for several years after he stopped playing pro and became a legend in Thornton!

| Toa Kohe-Love's on my list... Other than a blatant voluntary on our own try line I struggle to remember anything outstanding and for me looked a better player when he was against us. I have him on the 'Big let down' list.

| Mario Fenech was the worst player we ever signed imo. I think we won him in a chook raffle. Turned out in only two games (iirc) and never actually played, or broke sweat, in either..
...which may be why I'm cool about the effort put in by others since, lol.

| Shaun Edwards - horrible person and we signed him far too late in his career
David Solomona - didn't give us the x-factor promised
Logan Swann - remember him being rumoured to be signing us for at least two years and when he finally did it was a massive let down

| Only seen the SL era so here's my attempt:
1. Richie Mathers - [iwhy, just why?[/i
2. Rikki Sheriffe - [ihad 2 good games that's it.[/i
3. Michael Platt - [iany version of Platt after his first season.[/i
4. Karl Pryce - [ias mentioned, no heart, built like Tarzan played like Jane.[/i
5. Luke George - [iuseless.[/i
6. Harry Siejka - [igood hit on Tansey, otherwise completely useless.[/i
7. Marc Herbert - [iso much promise in first friendly of year, worst halfback the Bulls have seen and I have seen Kurt Haggerty there.[/i
8. Craig Kopczak - [igood player but the fans hate him for the way he left so he's in.[/i
9. Vila Halafihi - [isays something when he hardly got played over the past 3 years.[/i
10. Matt James - [iwhat did he actually ever do for us?[/i
11. Michael Worrincy - [ispeaks for itself really. Turnstile. Bottle-less get.[/i
12. Matt Ryan - [iwaste of a quota spot and just a complete tool.[/i
13. Danny Addy - [iseems to get a lot of unfair criticisms from the fans so he's in.[/i
14. Paul Sykes
15. Ephalame Lauaki - [imentioned before, big and useless.[/i
16. Jean Philipe-Baile - [inever contributed to us and was poor when he played.[/i
17. Tame Tupou - [ihow this man got 4 caps for NZ is bloody mind blowing.[/i
Honorable mentions to: Iliess Macani, James Evans, James Mendeika, Aaron Smith, Stuart Reardon (2nd stint with us), Adam Henry, Jamie Foster (couldn't catch a cold or had any pace), Matt Orford (for the way he left), Marcus St Hilaire, Logan Swann, Hudson Smith, Patrick Ah Van (magic weekend he was okay, defensively poor and got very lazy).
Would have included Glenn Hall but considering his personal life and his mental state around the time he was with us I wouldn't think it fair to include him.

| My 13 was more of a "boo boys" 13. Some of the names mentioned gave 100% but weren't very good. Some arrived with big reputations but didn't live up to them and others were just taking us for a ride.
Mario Fenech is a blast from the past. A legend at South Sydney, came over here to clear an 8 game suspension. Basically had a holiday. The result was they changed the rules so players suspended in one league can't suddenly turn up and play in another.
Basil Ake was another good un. Signed from New Zealand rugby union. Had basically no ability at all. Soon binned off and never heard of again.
I actually thought Solomona was good for us in 2007. He won us a few games on his own. That said he'd always been one of those free spirits that did his own thing and had a leisurely approach to training. It showed later when his wasteline expanded and his ability diminished.

| Think people are being slightly harsh on Tupou, he was fantastic for Brisbane before we signed him, ultimately why he was a NZ international. He started like a house on fire something like 10 try's in 9 games. The worst thing about him was out of his control was that he was signed to replace probably the best winger super league has seen although he started well enough was ultimately injuries he couldnt really come back from

| I can't believe Danny Addy is appearing on peoples lists.
Good player with lots of talent, unfortunately for him, he was asked to learn and play an alien position due to the clubs poor recruiting. Doesn't deserve to be mentioned with the names like Sheriffe and Karl Pryce

| It’s not a list of worst players. It’s a list of most disliked. Or at least that was my list. I think it’s gone a bit away from that. Danny Addy gave 100% for the cause and gave up a large proportion of his career filling in at halfback to cover for mistakes made by the club in recruitment. He could’ve said “I’m a backrow forward and that’s it” but he didn’t. As a result he played out of position and struggled at times. Fans got on his back because they expected more. He could frustrate you by being superb one minute and awful the next. Plenty of worse players have played for Bradford.

| I'd actually have Harris on my list.
Always thought he was a massive disappointment since we brought him back from Union.
Had a big belly and lacked his pace he had at Leeds. Built more as a typical Loose forward than a half back.

Agree with that about Solomona. He was a cracking player, who could create something from nothing, and put his body on the line to squeeze in for some really good, and tough, tries. In the right team he could be the icing on the cake of a super team. We were far from super, though and he was a square peg in a round hole at Odsal. We needed a solid grafter who could slog it out and do the hard yards in the middle of the field and instead we got a prima donna. Difficult to blame the player though, he never changed his style, far more blame is attached to the person who signed him, IMHO.

| Agree about Patrick Ah Van. Scored a cracking try in Cardiff as I recall but then just appeared lazy, and a poor attempted replacement for Lesley Vainokolo. Having said that he seemed to do ok for Widnes after he left the Bulls, and even Lesley himself had been shocking in defence during his first season.
As for Solomona, I think he was my most frustrating player to watch in nearly 50 years. Bags and bags of talent, but so much lost ball, which in my book is unforgiveable and will ultimately always cost you the game. In the right team, i.e. with players queueing up on his shoulder to receive his off-loads, he might have been a world beater but that was never going to happen playing for Bradford. All he did was cough the ball up to the opposition time after time.
