Just wondering how many of you will make the trip over to Cougar Park next week.
My understanding is it will be your first game of the season.
How do you think you will do.

We're playing today at Huddersfield so it won't be the first.

How we do will be a moot point, but I'd guess we'll give games to all the squad and maybe a few juniors, though the 'squad' itself already contains a few who haven't played open age, so [if he's here by then the coach can see how people go. Hopefully, we'll be able to try some moves in a real match situation and get some decent practice. Suspect Keighley will get something similar out of it? I suppose you may have been thinking about the result when you asked how we'd do - on that front, I think we'll score a few and concede a few and have a decent hit up.

I kind of want to go. But the last couple of times I've been to Keighley to watch Bradford play, some of the locals have been less than friendly. So I'm not sure yet.

They can be a bit chippy sometimes.......I know a few Cougars though, they're just like us really; they like their team, like to win, certain the ref's against them and retain their biggest disdain for their nearest and 'dearest'..

Agreed. Pryce needs to have a game or half a game at least! Would give Ryan a full game on the wing instead of Caro too. Include Thomas at fullback and give Campbell a rest after his knock yesterday.

Where to park would be my worry. Haven't been for years I must admit, but the last time was a bit of a 'mare.

Can't see Campbell wanting a rest after playing as little rugby he has in last 18m and bearing in mind new coach will be watching he will be keen to play

Campbell was always described as the best player in the championship for quite a few seasons

I have said for a while he is a very good player, just never had the chance to prove himself because of injury and then not been fully fit.

Did anyone see Mendeika giving everyone a right rollicking under the sticks when we conceded one of the second half Trys? Looked like he was taking his captain duties very seriously. The situation at the Bulls is probably going to allow our more fringe type players like him, Campbell, Halafihi amd Thomas far more game time than they would have had if the others had stayed. If they use it like they did yesterday (except Thomas) they'll win a lot of people over.

They also have a point to prove with not getting much game time last year.

and they are literally playing for their livelihoods - if we go down (again), they'll be part-time or gone.

I was thinking more of his knock yesterday that's all and giving Thomas some game time since it's important that Pryce and Keyes play the full game together to form some sort of partnership going into the Hull KR match.

Always been impressed with Mendieka, the problem is we have been blessed with good fullbacks for a while and we seemed to want to play him there. I mean Mullaney, Shaw (in attack he was class), Clare, Moss and even Mathers was a better FB than Mendieka. So I'd play him at Centre with Oakes as the other Centre.
