Lauaki and Ryan in for Lumb and Blythe

Interesting to see how Lauaki goes (if he plays) Lowes failed to get anything out of him. Smith managed to get the best out of Mathers playing at SH and Addy at hooker so there is hope. Clean slate for all players. If Sidlow, Clough or Clark get injured, we need someone to come in so it be good to see Lauaki.

Oh yes, there's a game on Sunday - I'd forgotten in all the excitement...

Agree it will be interesting to see how Lauaki goes and also Ethan Ryan back in the squad - now I've remembered there's a game on quite I'm looking forward to it!

Looking forward to this game. It'll be interesting to see if Lauaki figures since he's not played in ages. Smith's coached him in the past apparently so knows him. You'd think that'd preclude him getting in the side

Hmm that's interesting. Does it mention if Blythe is absent through injury? Or has he just been dropped?
I suspect Rohan might be giving everyone a chance to prove their worth, and also trying a few different combinations to see who is most effective.

If it were me I'd give Walshaw a try instead of one of Ferguson/Olbison/Haggerty, but I'm not sure that he'll play. Mellor still on the fringes, hoping he knuckles down a bit under the new coach.

I'd also like to see Smith give Walshaw a run out. Perhaps give Fergie a weekend off.

In one of Smith first interviews he mentioned that he'd worked with lauaki before and was looking forward to working with him. Impression that came across was that he thought he was a decent player. If he could get him back to playing like he did when he first came over here then it would be like signing a new player, But I'm far from convinced that Lauaki is prepared to put the work in and just sees us as steady wage for doing nothing.

Shame. Would be a good game to start off with

After this game we're up against the bottom 2, albeit Sunday and Wednesday, that is the perfect situation to rotate the squad and bring Moss in after a week training and getting over jet lag.

If Cameo plays and I hope he does it will be interesting to see how he performs and for how many minutes! I hope he takes chance to revitalise his game and impress.! Hopefully he has enough respect for the Coach to do that! For some reason he fell out big time with Jimmy and both didn't back away.

With Clark and Fleming likely to be moving on I'm worried Lauaki will be playing for a new contract!

Interesting to read Smith doesn't see O'Brien as an 80 minute hooker and will continue with Addy at dummy half too.

I don't think there is a player in the game who is an 80 minute hooker. Glad Rohan feels the same.

Cut out the penalties and errors then we should win easily. Having said that there have been a few dodgy looking penalties given!

Don't know which was worse, the spineless inept pathetic performance from Bradford or the incompetent, pathetic performance from the referee.

The ref was bloody awful. But he didn't repeatedly drop the ball under no pressure. He didn't' rob Bradford of any attacking guile.

All in all, it was a shameful performance from Bradford. Lazy, inept, disorganised, uninterested.

Now, Lowes would have let the team get away with that. The real proof of Smith's credentials is how he handles defeat when the team just hasn't given a toss
