Looks like just an admin and communication issue. Robbie saying they all get paid early next week as everyone usually gets paid at end of month. Players seemed to think they should be paid today.

As frustrating as it is for the players, I think they should be reminded of their responsibilities of using social media. Our club is in the public eye and putting tweets about payment can affect us when trying to attract new sponsors/investment.

But i I can understand frustrations if they thought they were been paid today.

Can understand why a poster is saying remind the players of their responsibility in other words keep it all hush hush and brush it under the carpet.

Just a mistake in timing due to changes in management structure and people's responsibilities changing as a result. Annoying for players that wages go in a working day late but no need to blow it out of proportion.

Ill try that one with my mortgage company, no need to blow it out of all proportion, be a few SL players on the phone to their bank 1st thing Monday I reckon.

Sounds like a genuine error but I can understand the players frustration, especially with last year probably ringing in their ears. Agree with Flying Prop and others though that the players shouldn't be jumping on those trouble causing sites to report it!

Call me a wet mop but I would like to think all the players have enough money or savings to see them through a short delay in getting paid and would be able to make it a few more days without becoming homeless.... not condoning them not getting paid on time but it has happened to most of us at some point in life and we have coped for a short time.

And also I haven't seen anything that has specifically said 'the Bulls are after more money from Hudds'... you were found to have not been entirely truthful in court and the RFL are looking at re-opening the case. In any case I think you will be answerable to the RFL and not us.

Would have thought there was a specific date in contracts. I know there is in mine and because I was paid a day late few years ago I changed all my standing order/ direct debits so they came out of my bank four or five days after my official pay date to prevent any issues if it happened again. If players have been getting paid early and were now using official date in their contracts can't see an issue. Players should have been warned either way beforehand though.

Depends how your paid if your 4 weekly date changes every month. Likewise might be last Friday in the month which changes date.

I get paid on the 26th of each month. When the 26th falls on a day when the banks cant open (Sat/Sun/Bank Hol) I get paid on the nearest day before that, usually a Friday. The Bulls players that have dared to tweet directly or indirectly on this give the impression that this was normally the case. They are not happy!

Robbie is the new face of the Bulls. It is an astute appointment by OK and Gerry as too many people on here simply will not question him!

If the payroll issue is one that is an admin error, why didn't Omar give the lads who are short a cash advance? the Robbie tweet about the pay being at the end of the month stinks of someone covering up, as do subsequent tweets from Bateman who has obviously had a call/PM from the club and been told to tow the line!

I hope for everyone's sake that this is an error in admin, and that come Monday we are wondering what the fuss is about!

The players used to get paid on the last Friday of every month.

Robbie's tweet makes it sound like the delay was intentional, in which case the players should absolutely have been informed prior to it happening.
But then Bateman and others have now said it was a clerical error, which would explain why the players weren't told but then contradicts Robbie's comments.

That being said, I don't think venting your frustration on twitter is the most professional thing to do. It seems to only be the younger players so far who are having a moan, perhaps the tact and professionalism will come with age.

The Stuff about bank payments due is arrsewash, anyone paid on eg last Friday of month MUST arrange their affairs to cater for those occasions when inevitably the payment will go out on 31st. Anyone with a brain who is paid at month end won't have DDs going out till 1st week of month. Whatever beef they may have, DDs not going out is certainly not one of them

I'm surprised at Robbie "taking to Twitter" to talk about this in a public space. No one should be discussing such matters through social media. If ex-players at other clubs want to cause a stink let them but I'd be guarding against any existing players getting involved. This is the problem with the Twitter generation - absolutely no brain engagement. No one would enter into such a discussion on the radio or TV for example. In fact I'd be saying if you want to play for Bradford you don't have a Twitter account, simple as. It's completely divisive.

Let's be honest here. Both Bateman and whitehead have the combined I.Q of a subway foot long . As players awesome . As people to read and take there opinions on twitter is just foolish . You get more intelligent information from a passing seagull squawking.

Whitehead has an axe to grind and is a grub the club are probably glad they got rid of. Bateman is easily led and as someone else has stated is not exactly a 100 watt bulb.

the players get paid on the last day of the month ie. 30th June, 31st July

so they will recieve their wages on wednesday as its the 31st,

But in June as the 30th was a sunday they were paid on the 28th, this is were the date of the 28th mentioned by Bateman has come from,

Well, if I had a problem with my wages, my first response would not be put it on Twitter. I'd contact the wages dept at the company I work at to discuss the problem. So maybe the Bulls players that threw their toys out the pram in a public forum should have tried thinking before they acted.

Oh, and it still doesn't change the fact that both Huddersfield and Kopczak lied and your attempts at deflecting attention away from those liars is very poor.
