| It sounded like Lulia and Kearney were excellent in what was a mixed game.
Despite results going our way, we really could have done with a bigger points swing as we effectively remain 3 points behind KR

| I think it was 119 points coming into this weekend. We picked up 14, they lost 1 taking us to 104 difference, ie we'd need to win by 52 points by week to take 8th (I presume we'd go above them on head to head results or more ticks in the win column)

| Poor performance, some decent individual displays but poor on the whole. 2 points was what we needed and we got so can't complain too much in the circumstances.
I will complain about the inane swearing at Mr Ganson. I am no big fan of his and i think he made some baffling calls today ( not being as bad as some people thought) but the amount of pointless abuse aimed towards Ganson which turned into swearing for swearings sake was just childish. It was embarrassing listening to calls of Sh!thole etc on plays such as langley dropping the ball. Every other line from some select supporters seemed to be these pointless comments which i can tolerate in moderation but it was just completely inane.
Rant over

| Well, it was a win wasn't it....
A patchy performance in truth, with some good moments and a couple of excellent individual flashes. But overall we seemed like a team that's getting by on sheer hard graft and application at the moment - which, given the circumstances, is highly commendable.
Still, it keeps us in with that outside shot at the Top 8, and that was the main job today.

| Think any team as low down as Salford could take the 8th spot. But their form suggests not. If you look at remaining games we have a good chance as our games on paper are easier. But as they say in rugby league nothing is certain.

| I thought we were poor today. The slow start kind of set the tone for the whole game. Defence seems to be the problem at the moment, with Widness able to power over, too easily for my liking.
Last year I thought Av Van was one of our wort players but he actually put in a good shift for Widnes today, McShane was dangerous also.
For us Lulia, Platt and KP stood out imo. Even though the crowd were quick to get on Karl's back, i actually thought he ran it in hard today. His 1 on 1 defence was pretty solid, saved a couple of tries.
Need to improve for Friday - we wont beat KR on that performance.

| It was a very scrappy and pretty low quality game. I think this was in part due to the way Ganson allowed a very very slow PTB. It's interesting to see how the refereeing of a game can alter dependant on the teams involved. I guarantee you wont see such a slow PTB allowed in the play offs. But it was another two points and there was a couple of very good tries in the game as well.
All we can do is keep winning to keep our season alive. It will certainly be twitchy bum time at Red Hall if we qualify for the play offs....

Pryce was crap mate. He knocked somebody over but it didn't matter, he failed to make any yards off it. He flew out of the line to try and make a tackle and ended up sliding on his knee's. He reacts far to slowly to his centre and he needs to look like he wants the ball, which makes defences question themselves. He frustrates me beyond words as he has it all but has the heart of a mouse.

| Very solid performance. I thought they did well to get back into it after going behind but then once in front didn't really look like losing. There were some excellent tries in there too. I agree we will need to play better on Friday in another must win match. The team are working hard for each other and if we keep doing that and keep digging out wins then we can't ask for more than that.

| I wonder whether we'll see either Crookes or Kear included on Fri. I can see why Potter might be reluctant to meddle with a team that has been through a lot but if we have some fresh bodies fit then it might be time to give a few a game.

| Scrappy win, but a wins a win. Definte improvements needed for Hull KR.
Next week i'd go for.
1. Kearney
2. Ainscough
3. Platt
4. Lulia
5. Crookes/Kear
6. Jefferies
7. Gale
8. Hargreaves
9. L'estrange
10. Kopczak
11. Olbison
12. Whitehead
13. Elima (If fit. Massively missed him)
14. Sammut
15. Walker
16. Manuokafoa
17. Burgess
Thought Langley offered nothing today and missed a few tackles.

| Looks like it's all played into Sky's hands on Friday in the 'big one'.
We have a selection headache for that game, bring back the 'senior' misfiring players or keep with the youngsters who didn't put a foot wrong today?
Interesting game in prospect.

| Another classy performance from Lulia. I still maintain the belief that he is one of the best centres in the league, and it's criminal that we don't get the ball to him as often as possible. Waltzed his way through the Widnes defence several times today, and that massive hit on a Widnes player very close to half time was a great read of the play.
If it comes to pass that our players do start to move on to other clubs over the coming weeks, I would be very surprised if this guy isn't snapped up very quickly. Wigan could do a lot worse than Keith for Carmont's replacement. Lulia would have an absolute field day playing in the current Wigan side.

| Two pretty average teams today. Nothing special from either. No outstanding players on either side. Lulia & BK were the only ones to show any class.
A decent performance all round from the Bulls, just about good enough to take the points.

| Our worst trait is giving up cheap possession and I thought that that was again our biggest problem. The rest of it was pretty good to be fair, but you can't just keep gifting cheap yardage and dropping the ball on the first tackle. To their credit they managed to overcome this, mainly by some pretty determined tackling.
Pryce started off badly but then I thought for most of the time he actually had quite a decent game.

| A win is a win.
It was scrappy and a lot of errors. But the conditions today were not ideal for free flowing rugby.
This was a game we needed to win so I consider today a good day.

It's becoming a regular occurance now. I had a rant last home game as it happened twice. This week i saw it coming over my head and landing flush on a supporter.
I wish the fans stood around him would actually point him out - I can never quite see who it is.
