Just feels like very bad news. If the IP cannot scure a sale and the RFL wont pay the wages he will have no choice but to pull the plug.

Lets hope not for everyones sake.

I'd be amazed if we've suddenly gone from having every bid so far flatly rejected, to suddenly being ok. Can only be bad news (liquidation) at such short notice. This would also explain the lack of clarity over the issue of August's wages.

Well, nobody else is spelling the rumour out so I will. I heard from what I would call a very reliable source that a deal was on the point of being done by a so-far unnamed bidder and that an announcement was imminent, but this was supposed to have been Tuesday. It does not involve ABC or the others so far named.

When nothing was heard I then assumed it was just another bum steer to add to all the rest. But the story doesn't seem to want to die, and seems to be gathering a bit of a cryptic momentum on the QT.

So I include that there was and probably is something in it, and that there probably was going to be an announcement, and that it has been delayed , rather than never existed. And now that Sadler has joined the ranks of the cryptics, that at least seems to confirm it is more than pure internet rumour mill.

Except that Diskin was quoted as saying that he was the man who fronted player representations to Guilfoyle, and that of late that has died a death and the players like us know only what they hear in the media.

Interesting if true, but why would BG and RFL have kept silent on it?

We can only hope!
