Can anybody out there find out if there is a problem ?
I have been doing a lot of work in prep for the walk . 4 or 5 hours every night . and 8 hours on my days off . Have spent fair few quid too , including taking nine days off work , buying equipment I will need , and arrangments for travel up on Friday .
I have heard nothing for almost two weeks , and although I have people ready to put their money up I STILL haven't got sponsor forms . Have already lost a lot of sponsors due to not having any forms , and there is less than a week to go .

Is the walk still happening ? If not I will be spending a week in the pub . Think I deserve a beer or two after all the walking I been doing recently .

Anyone got a clue what's happening ?

This is a massive feat and one I'm sure people all over the country would be prepared to give for, my self included, but now the £500,000 has been raised by the fans I was under the impression we were no longer being asked for donations and that the next £500,000 is going to come from Caisley's investors that have been waiting in the wings.

Really don't want to put a downer on the event though because it must have taken a lot of planning and commitment.

Perhaps you could change the proceeds to going to a deserved downs syndrome charity rather than to a what is at the end of the day a business that may or may not be on the verge of going into administration?

Anyway please keep us informed if you hear anything as I'm sure I'm not the only reader who is wondering what happened to this idea.

To be honest I really don't know what to do . I have put a great deal of effort and money into preparing , but have heard no news at all . I had a bad fall on Saturday night while out walking and de-skinned my left knee and took quite a serious bash to the head . The walking I have been doing has been suspended for recovery time , but I am ready for Saturday .
No news arrives soon and I won't be walking . Sad , but I don't have the sponsor forms yet , and it is really too late now for me to raise funds . I don't even know the planned route or where we supposed to be camping en-route . As I am supposed to be one of the three doing the walk it would be a great help to be informed about these things .

Feeling that it ain't gonna happen .
And regards re-directing the funds raised so far I have no control at all . All I can do is return what has been given to me to the people that donated in trust without me having the forms .

If it goes ahead I am 100% in there . I will not back out . I am a man of my word . I (stupidly) said I will do it , and do it I will . Might even just go do it on my own . I ain't sure if I could , but I would give it my best shot . The fecked-up knee wont make it easy , and four days to arrange where to camp might be a problem . I have done all the practice and bought all the required items . It would be rude to let it all go to waste .

I know for a fact your not camping as i was going to do 3 days as well...bulls have said must be in hotel accomodation...rhinos were going to pay for hotels when in west yorks.

Ive booked time off work bought new £50 walking boots but not heard owt since i asked how much hotel was gonna cost me over 2 weeks ago so presume it isnt on anymore and have arranged to do summat else on my time off instead now rather than just wasting it.

Seems you know more than me about it . I have been walking around carrying weight ready to carry all my gear ready for camping . Last I heard we were camping , and were supposed to be meeting JD on RL last Sunday. I hear nowt soon then I am out .Sorry . But I have put a great deal of effort in readiness for this . . The lack of info heading this way ain't been very helpful .

It's really strange that absolutely no one has heard from them.

I cant get intouch with Andy either.

A few friends have his number so i'll ask them to try and contact him. I know regarding sponsor forms he was on to Sarah at Odsal to try and work this out ( towards the end of April ) but nothing since. Theres over £1000 in donations on the site now so I think we could do with knowing as it doesnt look good on the club if this doesnt go ahead.. especially with fans from other clubs donating .. some more than £100.. and the funds have already been paid. :/

I hope that they're both ok.. its not like Andy just to vanish...

If they cant do it for whatever reason they should not be afraid to come on this forum and tell us. We dont need a reason why nor will we judge. Just be up front about it.

I hope they are both ok . Nothing on twitter or on these boards for over a fortnight . We were supposed to meet on the 6th to do an interview with JD on Radio Leeds ( I had planned a surprise trip to take them to the Hunslet game that day while they were down this way ) . Does anyone know if it took place because apart from being told the date a week or so before I got no further details .

I dont know. I know theres an article regarding it in this months forty twenty mag but unsure when he spoke to them. My friends trying to contact him for you.

Gareth at Odsal was going to mail me some forms , but that was over a week ago .
You would have thought that as the third walker I would have been kept informed of what is/was going on , but I have no idea at all .

he doesnt seem to have posted on RLFans since late april. Maybe some real world issues going on?. hope alls well.

Over a fortnight since a tweet from either of three twitter accounts too . It has been suggested that the thirty miles a day could have been too much of a task . It could easily have been cut to a shorter route of 20 per day , which would still be quite a challenge , and I am sure nobody would have complained about James doing a shorter walk than first planned . I certainly wouldn't have .

Bulls Foundation marketing dept. are unable to make contact with them . It's looking like something has gone very wrong .
