I note this started with a post on the Hull FC forum from a seeming newbie poster with half a dozen posts to its name. According to one regular on there, that same poster said Lam was nailed on as coach for Cas. This may or may not be significant?

The OP on hull board seems to be a new alias for a poster with a long history of starting false rumours. Stranger things have happened but not gonna hold my breath on this one.

No that's not him . He is a old poster just with a new name but did tell us about the seymour and heremaia signings due to him having links with a ex player of ours however don't think the ex player would have told him about this move but wouldn't rule it out he has a few right

Only way I could see any legs in this is if we've identified someone better than lynch or comparable but younger and we need cap space to get them. But if that was case surely hull would just go after our target and avoid a transfer fee. Unless it's someone we can accommodate on our quota bit hull can't. Still doesn't seem likely imo

Last year of his contract, likely to have captaincy removed, high earner, struggles with the wrestle, on the slide. If he's been offered 2-3 years at Hull this wouldn't surprise me at all. If this is Potter's decision to free up cap space to add something to our pack then fair enough but if we spend the off season scrambling around to sign more 'make up the numbers' then heaven help us.

Wouldn't blame Lynchy for going TBH. We don't look likely to challenge for any trophies and Hull are back on the up compared to recent years. He's not won anything (ignoring the 2005 GF as he didn't play), so he may want to end his career with a punt at a final at the very least.

As others have stated, he's possibly looking for a 2/3 year deal next time round. I think the only reason he would stay with us is that he'd be possibly eligible for a testimonial if his next contract was long enough.

He takes a lot of unwarranted stick too. He has been made captain, and he cannot be faulted for lack of effort. OK, he doesn't come across as a natural leader vocally, but he leads by example, its just a shame most of the squad don't follow his effort.

If we can find a quality hard hitting prop then id let him go. hes a plodder of the highest order.

I'd have him at Saints in a heartbeat.

The only prop to make more metres this season (so far) is James Graham. Andy is 4th on metres made out of the entire league, with only Roby, Sam Tomkins and Graham above him.
We would have to find one hell of a replacement in order to avoid releasing such a 'plodder' becoming anything but a disaster.

Im not really bothered wot his stats say. he prob spends more time on the field than other props.

not to forget his stupid offloads and penalties. its about time started knocking people over.

I'd have him at Leeds very happily. Notwithstanding that 80% of our 2012 squad already seems to be prop forwards...
