Hoping he may spill the beans in the future.

I'm guessing Buderus is having his Aussie way with his Mrs, Mum, and Sister!! He really has a thing against him - went for big shot nearly every opportunity on Friday

I think its due to the fact that he was possibly forced out at leeds although being a great servant to the club, what better way to shake things up by joining your arch rivals ha ha

Yeah seems like Disko feels like he has been 'stabbed in the back' by leeds and obviously feels some sort of resentment to Buderus......... good lad

I heard he was told no matter how well he played Buderus was going to be number 1 at Leeds.

TBF Webb has been disappointing for a couple of seasons in that position. Still a surprose.

Diskin is a genuinely nice bloke, a true legend to the game

To be fair he is sort of airing his dirty linen by putting things on twitter. I think he was told he wasnt wanted at leeds. Felt pushed out by buderus (although if he is bitter by this it isnt buderus he should be unhappy with but gh)

I know quite a few leeds fans who dont like him because they put lots of money into his testemonial fund before he left.

Diskin was one of the 'magnificent seven' who signed an extension with Leeds last season, then he signed for Bradford. You can understand why some fans might be upset given the chain of events.

If he was shown the door by GH then how is it Diskin's fault?

It's not like he did a Fielden is it?

Just stating how some feel. Personally doesnt bother me he went to bradford. But I know some feel let down rightly or wrongly.

He signs a year extensioon.
Then gets told by the chairman that they are signing someone "better" on a bigger wage and so he doesn't have a future.
So he signs for someone else.

I'm far from sure Fielden was at fault. Given the financial implosion at the time I don't find it too hard to think he was 'encouraged' to sign for the pies, just so we could rake in the transfer fee and make some headway into balancing the books. I might be wrong but I wouldn't put money on it.

At least his transfer brought some much needed cash into the club, rather than our other illustrate prop who decided to run out his contract and leave for our biggest rivals, then belly aching in his book that it was Caisley who made him leave the club, bearing in mind said illustrate fore-mentioned prop said well before leaving us that he was going to end his career over the border at the shed, as well as a stint in the nrl! Not bad going for the player who was 29 at the time!

JP was born in late 1977 so he'd have been around 26, maybe nearly 27, when he went to the dark side. I've always put his loss down to 'Harrisgate' to be honest, but for that I'm sure money would have been found to keep such a talented player who was still very much in his prime. It's a pity the people running the club at the time didn't consider the consequences of putting so many salary cap eggs in so few baskets as, IIRC we still had Robbie on the back end of his mega contract, when Iestyn arrived on another.

Incidentally, there were some pretty scathing remarks made about our former chairman in Peacock's book, which I'm sure would have been brought to his attention, so it seems strange that there have been no calls for a retraction or libel cases emanating from it, which suggests the details were accurate.

Personally, I have nothing but respect for JP. He gave his all in a Bull's shirt and it was sad that he left in the circumstances he did.
