I cant belive what Andy Lynch has said in the T&A today, saying the fans should get off the players back, because most fans have never even played rugby!!! There supposed to be professional sportsmen, the fans have every right to be angry when they are spending hard earned cash, and they put in a performance like that at Huddersfield. It would have cost a family of 4 about £80 for that game, and they didnt justify paying that, they were pathetic.

Okay Okay we had the rants on another thread, enough already, jees. Yeah we didn't play well at all in fact we were shocking against Hudds but I don't care what anyone says Potter wrote that game off. Now is a new week lets get behing the lads tomorrow.

I think most supporters of stable mind can understand that this team and coaching set up are not going to be at their best until the 2nd part of the season. Even then we are a few quality players short of being serious challengers IMO. Players criticising fans (even if directed at the small minority) never tends to go down well. I can understand his frustration though.

Think Mr Lynch was a bit off with what he has said. These guys are paid good money to compete in every game and they didn't last week.

Every fan has the right to voice their opinion. The players are big boys and should be able to take it.

Maybe he should prove the fans wrong in another way and stuff Cas tomorrow.

I can't believe what I have just read from Andy there, Huddersfield is an expensive do and to see our team get stuffed like we did every fan was entitled to their opinion. Personally I didn't boo them off but I was left angry from the performance they put in.

I think instead of publishing an article in the T&A asking the boo boys to lay off they should put in a good performance tomprrow and shut them up that way.

That's spot on for mine. I've not heard any booing in truth and I haven't been on the T&A's semi-literate rant board for yonks but yeah, the vast majority know the score and have a bit more patience than that.

Mr Lynch needs to understand that its us fans that pay his wages. As for his rant if they had turned summat in than utter shiite we wouldn't be moaning like we are.

I think somebody needs to give Andy a PR course, what he's said goes against everything the club are trying to do in marketing terms and he doesn't come across at all well. I was at Huddersfield and I heard the boos and to be fair they were justified, we'd been cheering them on and I think fans have the right to show when they've paid good money and the team don't seem to be performing. As other have said nobody expects miracles with the player turnover but I don't think we expected that score and performance either.

Performance is forgotton so why come out with an article dragging it back up again?

I like the way that Lynch says it is 5 percent of the fans. WTF? Based on what? I am sorry Andy, but there is one sure fire way to get the fans behind you, and slating them in the paper is probably not it...

TBH, there were some boos on Sunday, but that's unavoidable if you've turned in a performance that's seen you ship 50 points. I just wonder if Lynch's comments are aimed at the chimps on the T&A comments section as they seem to be unaware that it's 2011 not 2001 and the days of us stomping other teams is a thing of the past. Also the fact that the team being put out has had a different line up every week. Given we're still trying to gel as a unit, this sort of rejiging doesn't help.

Best thing Lynch and the rest of the guys can do, if they don't like being boo'd, is not turn in a display where they're shipping 50 points.

to be fair Lynch is right. Some boo-boys who have never touched a ball in their life and thinking they know more about rugby than the professionals. It its not so easy to say ohh you missed that tackle and this tackle, but you get games like that, and people who have never played just dont understand this. Lynch is spot on, balls to money we spend they didnt play like that to annoy people and laugh about it afterwards, how all the fans are feeling in regards to disappointment, the players will be 100 times worse and disappointed with themselves

It seems like a rather strange story to report so early in to the season. I don't find it constructive for the captain to criticise the support especially after some of the stay away fans have come back to club after the pledge scheme. You're potentially giving them another reason not to turn up and watch.

I could understand this being written in August/September if we were on losing streak that we experienced last year but mid-March?!

That being said I totally agree with our captain. I never have and never will boo my team from the field of play. What does it achieve really? It doesn't make the situation any better.

Funny this you clicked on the T&A sports page this morning and the top story was "Skipper Condemns Bradford Bulls Lynch Mob!" followed by "Rhodes applauds 'amazing' Bradford City fans".

Everything I believe has already been said, but mr lynch has done himself no favours here.
The fans pay their money (£20 each last week which equates to alot!) and are entitled to say what they want. And four scores down and rugby befitting an under 9s side after 15 minutes, booing is justifiable.
I think Lynch needs to concentrate on his rugby, and as for the 'people who've never played rugby' comment, that's as bitter and sour a comment I've ever seen. Is he suggesting the only people are entitled to comment are players themselves? Not the people whove put thousands into the club over years?

Monumental PR cock-up by Bradford. Reading that article made me feel even more furious than watching the Huddersfield shambles itself. It is inconceivable that such a stupid article wasn't sanctioned by the club and harks back to the days of Caisley's little rants.

I agree with that. It's stupid some of the rubbish people come out with in fact I often find myself laughing at games and reading the T & A comments listening to it but the language used by Lynch I find out of order.

That said don't you think the timing of it is strange? The next match is tomorrow shouldn't he and the T & A be concentrating on that? The time for this comment was earlier in the week wasn't it?

Politics by whom though? And to what end? Mr Murphy has been a superb journo for the Bulls and a breath of fresh air from what came before. On that basis I just can't imagine he'd be part of some conspiracy.

Disgraceful attitude, it would be bad enough coming from another player but coming from our captain makes it even worse.

There were no excuses for the performance last week, the players should be doing everything they can to keep our new/returning fans, not slagging them off.
