| So..2 games gone 2 lost (albeit to a strong Rhino's side and the current champions) Mr Potter needs to make some changes to the team if we are to prove successful in Wrexham IMO, so...
Royston
Raynor
Platt
Ah Van (Clearly a centre not Wing)
Ainscough
Kearney
Herbert
Hargreaves (Back to prop and to start)
Diskin
Lynch
Walker (Offers more in the 2nd row for me)
Whitehead
Addy (Lets see what he can do at loose)
Subs: Scruton (Impact) Le Estrange (Impact Hooker) Sykes (Only because of his ability to cover the back line, NOT Stand Off) Burgess (again lets see what he can do)
Dropped due to poor form: Elima (He's not at the races yet) Sibbit (penalty machine) and Kopzcack (Not doing enough)
A bit controversial? possibly dropping Elima but thats what Potter has said from the start, if someone is not performing they can expect to sit it out.
Thoughts Colleagues?!!

| Looks pretty good, sadly I don't see us lining up like that.
I'd keep Elima even if it's on the bench, Walker can cover the backs if necessary. I think Olbison showed enough spirit to keep a bench spot but would love to see Addy in at 13.

Personally I'd play Elima and have Walker on the bench (for impact). Elima can move up to prop when Walker comes on. Agree that Koppy and Sibbit look out of sorts and maybe need that kick up the behind, but to be fair the same could be said of Lynch.
Not sure who I'd have as the last sub - bit harsh on Olbison to be dropped after doing little wrong in the short amount of time he had. A lot would depend on whether Herbert is fit and will last the 80. If there are some doubts about being able to play 80 mins we may need a back on the bench (like Sykes) or you risk moving Heath there if something does happen to Herbert.

| I like Walker in the centre, changes I would make would be....
Diskin for Le Estrange (Diskin really sped up play on Sunday when introduced)
Herbert for Sykes
Ainscough for Raynor (due to Raynor's inability to keep hold of the ball when running!)
Koppy for Addy on the bench
Oh... and Sibbit for Sykes (as stated above, decent cover for the backs)
Defo keep Elima in squad as he's one of our best defenders!
Don't think we need to make wholesale changes, teem cannot/will not gel when we change every player!

Not sure why your dropping Elima, he is our top tackler and gets through a mountain of work in defence. Interesting that Whitehead is our second most missed tackles person after Brett Kearney!

| I agree that Elima has not really hit his straps yet, but I think he deserves another shot against a team who we should at least be matching. It's hard to tell how good he is when we're playing the really top teams and - in the case of Sunday - playing without half backs who can move us around the field
I also think its time Ainscough was given a run, maybe give Rayner a break this week. We need to see if Ainscough is up to the task.

| Whilst i agree with a lot of what's been said, i just don't see Ah Van as a Winger.
Maybe he's being thought of as a sort of Vaikona style winger? there are some similarities but i believe his best position is at Centre...

| Assuming herbert fit then.
royston
ainscough
walker
platt
ah van
kearney
herbert
hargreaves
diskin
lynch
whitehead
elima
addy
l'estrange
scruton
kopczak
sykes
Think we need to include addy to get some creativity at loose. sykes on bench as cover in case herbert isnt fully fit. raynor isnt pulling up trees so give ainscough a shot. problem with moving ah van to is his defense isnt great. he needs to be paired with a strong winger/ and dont see ainscough or raynor as being much better defensively so better he stays paired with platt imo. Give sibbit a week off as he's giving away a lot of penalties.
Oh and if kearneys playing in halves then keep him in halves and stop this daft business of defending at Fb and attacking at half. Makes both him and royston less effective imo.

Elima will hit his straps running when he see Thomas, Williams, Flower and Dudson, wearing red shirts with a green vee A proud French man who was gutted to have been denied entry to the four nations competition. Elima will be up for this game.

| I think it's pretty farcical to suggest Elima hasn't been playing well tbh. He does massive amounts of work that goes unnoticed.

Agreed, but Elima did very, very well against Leeds I thought. Goes through mountains of work in defence, and is still a great threat to have in our side.

| Surely you wouldn't start changing round a team that's only been together for 2 games of super league? The team needs some consistency.

To be fair, most of the posts here suggest only modest change
Most of that is prompted by the decision to play Sykes at 6 on Sunday, which obviously backfired. So there probably needs to be a bit of shuffle there, whether or not Herbert is fit
I suggested Ainscough for Rayner - straight swap. But I'd be quite happy for Raynor to be picked too

| i didn't think Raynor did much wrong against Wigan. He looked quite dangerous when running at their defence. It was obvious he wasn't going to see much ball in attack in their 20, I would have liked to see him take more scoots to help the forwards.

If you take one of his drives against Wigan, he very nearly bust the tackle. Against lesser opposition I think he would have been through with defences struggling to cover him
The wing is a difficult one to call. I too haven't been entirely impressed with Ah Van but he did run the ball back well from kicks and is our kicker. Not sure on this one

6. Ah Van
7. Herbert (if fit, L'Estrange if not)

tbh Ah Van place in team is relstively safe until herbert or briggs are back and 100% fit to take over kicking duties. Whilst he has looked a little dodgy under high balls dont think he's been terrible in defense. Occasions he has been sucked in its generally been a case he's had to come in because entire defense has come in.
Dont think theres much to choose between raynor and ainscough at this point. Can see a case for giving ainscough a go, given raynor hasnt really done much in the games hes had. Ainscough has a bit more pace over raynor but that might be more beneficial later in year on harder pitches. Not really too bothered which of those two plays at this stage.
only changes I'd make would be herbert into halves and addy into loose forward which are basically straight swaps for briggs and langley. probably include sykes on bench at sibbits expense to give us some cover for herbert if he isnt 100% yet.
