The biggest derby in Rugby League is back and it's taking place at Odsal a week on Sunday (weather permitting).

Tickets for the game against West Yorkshire neighbours Halifax, on Sunday 9th January 2011, which is Jamie Langley's Testimonial game, are now on sale and demand is already at fever pitch going by some of the Halifax supporters in the pub on Friday night.

Prices are; Adults £10, Concession, juniors and students £5. All prices are for seating in the main stand.

If these sell out then tickets for the terracing will be issued.

As we all know, this is going to be Mick Potters first ever game in charge of the Bulls and at Odsal and I know that I can't be the only one already looking forward to watching the Bulls and the start of a new season.

So please everyone get behind the side and give them a massive vocal Odsal welcome as we build up ahead of Super League XVI.

fax have too many new faces and lost few good players too for them to gel straight away. but look forward to seeing royston play for you and hope he goes well as would like to see him play SL regularly.

Looking forward to this as I now live very near Odsal and me and my Fax Barmy army mates are going to meet up with a group of Bradford fans for a couple of pre match drinks. I really hope this game goes ahead as it will be a good run out for our lads and more than anything I want it played for Jamie Langley.

I don't think Shad will be playing - if I remember correctly he needed a little more work on his knee than was anticipated when they did a clean up in the op. He had to have a microfracture to help solve the problem.

I seem to recall from what I read or heard on the TV that he will be fit for the start of the season, but imagine the Fax game would come too soon for him.

Terraces not open unless there's significant ticket sales. Everyone is being put into the stand.

but if there is enough ticket sales how much do you reckon it will be? I'm confident we will have a great attendance.

it is a game against our biggest rivals. and we took a few hundred down to Quins 2 seasons back and it was horrible condition and we was setting off at 7 in the morning. Bradford is only 15 mins on the bus im sure every1 will want to be there.

I honestly don't know how much it would be.

However I'll be surprised if it sells out the stand. You may bring quite a few, no doubt. We may be your closest rivals. But without meaning to be disrespectful, you're not our closest rivals, you're a team in a lower league than us, and it's a Friendly game which in all honesty, means nothing. Sure it means something to quite a few fans, but not to the majority.

I expect Halifax will bring a decent following. It's not far (although Huddersfield fans continue to prove that isn't a factor by bringing f*ck all every year) and it's against a rival club from Super League. But I would think there'll only be our hardcore following there. The fact it's a testimonial for Langley may up the figures a bit, but if we're being realistic, I can't see there being more than 2 or 3 thousand Bulls fans.

Last year we played Leeds at Headingley in Matt Diskin's testimonial. The attendance was 5,759. And I would argue there were more Leeds home fans there than there will be Bradford fans for this. And there were also more Bradford away fans there than there will be Halifax.

No disrespect intended, but trying to be realistic. I'll be very surprised if this attendance busts the 5,000 mark.

3-4k would be a very decent attendance for a friendly , even if it is a testimonial, given that its unlikely that a large number off first teamers will feature.

I have to agree mate, forget the Rhinos because the true Bradford derby game is vs Halifax.

In the early days of Super League we had some classic encounters and the one that sticks out in my mind is the 1997 Tuesday evening come back at Thrum Hall.

I guess for Halifax it would be the last minute drop-goal in 1996

So long as the weather stays reasonably mild, I think £10 to sit in the main stand for what should be a good game is very enticing.
