| Due to being away again this weekend, i want to avoid last weeks trouble with gaining wifi access. Therefore I am posting tonights MOTM now.
Top 3 for tonights game as usual. Can Brett Kearney extend his lead or will another player impress you and claw some points back???
Voting starts immediately after the game (so no voting before!!!) and will finish on Tuesday at 12pm.

| Godwin (best player on the field)
Beaver
Platt
(Nero & Whitehead unlucky to miss out, Halley would have been MOM if everything he tried had come off, certainly couldn't fault the effort!)

But Godwin was superb, and several others could be arguably in the frame. Halley did some good stuff and tried very hard to atone for what were a series of bad mistakes -which mean there's no way he was MoM

| First half will be one to be forgotten. However, there were some great performances in the 2nd half.
I could choose any out of Halley, Reardon, Nero, Platt, Sykes, L'Estrange, Godwin, Menzies & Hall.
Wayne Godwin - Great Try, excellent 2nd half, great to see so much passion
L'Estrange - Went well when playing in the halves, influential as always - passionate aswell
Menzies/Reardon - Half each please - Menzies class as always, Reardon's best game so far.
Nero is unfortunate to miss out, but 2 great tries again and if he continues he'll be getting a new contract.

Remarkable that Wakefield had the more eye-catching players (Obst, Murphy, King...) but came up well short over the 80 minutes. FA is spot on with Halley - great when he wasn't making mistakes, but [udid[/u make too many of them.
Fantastic effort given the disruption, and perhaps Kearney's worst match for us (barring the kick for Menzies' try).
Good work also from Sherrife (as ever this season ), Nero (top finishing), L'Estrange, Platt (apart from his complicity in Wakefield's first try), Whitehead, Donaldson (great offloads - shame they didn't go backwards!) and Lynch (for typically overcoming injury).

| 1 - Geoff Evans
2- ...
Sorry...
1 - Wagga - ran the show second half, relished the responsibility when the excellent Heath went to 7
2 - Beaver - if I was a girl I'd want to have his babies. Effing superb; what a signing he has been.
Usual scrum for third - Halley (despite his various mistakes, which deprives him of contentgion for MOM) and Heath could easily be; Sykes had a load of responsibility with both Ox and Kearney missing, and really rose to the occasion and maybe should get it; Reardon's best game for us - the Reardon of old, and I'm so pleased to see it; Platty could easily have had it - he's found his position, and will only get better. Most of them played well second half. Whitehead: what a tough bugger HE is...breakthrough player of the year. On balance, and its coin-toss time here, the Moldovan jury gives it to a player I so want to see do well and pîss on all his unfair critics of the past:
3 - Platt.
But I was not being flippant about Evans. Our guys had the petrol in the tank at the end. Our guys took the knocks but got up again. Our guys looked fit and well-paced. Last season that would not have happened. Last season we did not have Evans. Go figure?

We don't necessarily need to tell him, do we...? And anyway, I'll just tell him Blotto is me...
Dunno if Menzies is uplifted by the chants of "Beaver" that we are hearing on a regular basis now? But I sure am. We all thought before (and rightly, IMO), that Morro was the best signing of recent years. But this guy is a class apart, and I just feel so privileged to be here to see the guy here and in a Bulls shirt. What a fantastic signing.

Totally agree. The best & most influential signing of recent years. I really hope we keep him on for another year.

Here here!
I have never had a name and number on the back of my shirt until Menzies. I keep meaning to get it signed before he hangs up his boots. Not only is Menzies a great player individually he also brings the best out of the players around him. We won't be able to replace the Beaver.

| Beaver is different gravy.
As the saying goes, form is temporary, class is permanent!
Would have loved him to have come 5 years earlier, but he was that good then that we had no chance at that time.
We need to keep him involved with the club as long as possible. He atracts quality and inspires the same around him. He may be a great coach just due to the aura he carries. He could be as thick as mince, but he'd probably get away with it as he obviously inspires those around him

| Although Adey put Geoff Evans tounge in cheek, Macca also deserves some praise. I feel we will be losing him just as he has actually grown into the role and is ready to be a top SL coach

Platt was awesome aswell, he really got us moving forward in the 1st half when nobody else wanted to. He's becoming a really reliable centre.

Indeed. I have always been sypathetic to Macca. Put it down to something he did for me - or, more specifically, for my missus - a few years ago. My missus was very poorly, and the guy - and the great TV - made her year. I will never, ever, forget that. Ever. He showed then how good he is with people. I just hope the team go out to try and win something for him.
The history books will record just what a totally crâp situation he inherited, and what a cräp financial position he had to work within. Indeed, you heard him refer to that, obliquely, tonight.

I agree Michael. You were one of his strongest critics last year - and indeed, he gave his critics ample ammunition. So I guess you must be really pleased with how he has addressed his critics?

Missed that Menzies had played the ball and it was at his feet, just for old times' sake.
