Hood is a complete joke. The statement he has put out today could see the crowds down to 5 maybe 6000 next season. We are spending our hard earned money to watch good rugby, with good players , and then he comes out with something like this. ''We wont sign a class player beacause the fans want us to''. I hope the crowds go down to 5000 next season, until Hood realises what a total muppet he is. Iam not looking forward to next season at all, its just going to be the same again if not worse.

and FWIW Hoods article, whilst hardly cheerleading stuff, did not have the message you are trying to portray. It was ( as far as I'm concerned), we're not singing someone just because people want us to do so now in responce to Sam's departure.... However that does not to me say we might not be signing someone, Orford, Lockyer, Lyon, Moi Moi whoever the feck you think should show up tomorrow, but if and when we do make signings public it will be at a time, and in a deal, that best suits our club and finances and squad needs, not what the fans think. Which is exactly what should be happening.

Just beacuse the club are being a bit weak at the PR at the mo, and the timing of these events could be a lot better, it does not mean the right moves wont be made when they can be, given the hand we're currently dealt.

If you want the crowds down at that level, may I suggest that you stay away from the games in order to help achieve that. Quite frankly, the club doesn't need "fans" that WANT poor crowds and therefore a lack of funds. They are better off without them.

I thought Hood's comment was sensible, the club lives by it's means and i'd rather him take the time to find a quality replacement then pay over the odds for someone who then turns out to be a mill around our neck.

The big positive that could be taken out of what Hood has said for me is exactly that. We're not gonna rush in and buy a replacement quickly without weighing it up properly. We did that when Les was leaving and we brought in Tupou and he turned out to be more useless than Karl Pryce.

Pryce scored numerous tried when he could be a*sed. Which wasn't often. He was more fond of hobbling off because someone dragged him to the floor in a fair and non injury causing tackle.

Besides, I said Tupou was more useless than him. Tupou was also more useless than Jamie Peacock, Henry Paul, Lesley Vainikolo and all other star players who have graced our pitch.

At the end of the day he was a kid, I think your being a bit harsh to a lad who was a good attacking force for us. I think a bit more patience was needed with Karl and not to be compared with Leon.

He quite clearly was a big jessie. As had been said numerous times before, Karl had all the physical attributes and the skills to be a major player in the sport. He lacked heart, and I've seen nothing since he left that suggests otherwise.

I think you've spotted his major plan. We all know that Odsal is the major drain on our resources. So he is going to sell all the players and then lock the gates so we don't have to pay upkeep on the place. He could then invest what money was left and keep us in the black indefinitely.

Serious question: Hood gets sick of all the flak he is getting, and of putting in loads of hours for no salary, and decides sod it...more to life than this.

We have already seen that no-one seems interested in coming in from outside. So Jack Bates takes over.

We should be looking for the next generation of top quality super league players and signing them on top class deals instead of journeymen who are past there sell by date IMO!
There is enough quality and experience within the club to bring such youngsters on.
Okay it might take a couple of years but buying big names offers no guarantee of immediate success either!
