Ref had already called time off which was the only correct decision the ref made during that particular passage of play waving play on after Wigan knocked on at the play the ball.

As for the ball boy no manners but what a critic. personally I reckon it would have been funnier had he kicked it or passed it to Richards deliberately kicking or throwing it past him.

Not the kids fault. He was responsible for making sure there is a ball on the sideline for when it goes out of play (eg following a penalty), hence why he finally placed it on the touchline - that's all he had been briefed to do!

We all laughed. Were hoping he was going to go the whole hog and chin Silverwood too.

There was a funny moment when Pat took the kick, a bloke in front shouted:
"It's ok Pat, if you miss, he'll let you have another go!"

I remember hearing it was happening but can't remember the date. Have it in the back of my mind it's fairly soon though.

As I remember the majority of the Bradford crowd were shouting forward and offside every two passes, even when it was blatantly not. It gets really annoying TBH. Bradfords loss (and season) has nothing to do with the referee, it's to do with the fact they only played to their potential for about 20 minutes.

People like to transfer their frustrations onto the officials.

Offside is something people tend to shout a lot when they don't know what else to shout. That's at every ground and I think I've learned to tune that out now.

Can't say I heard too many shouts for forward passes, although there did seem more in yesterday's game than is the norm.

Easily the worst place I've heard for constant shouting to the referee is Craven Park. Was bad last week, but absolutely terrible a couple of years ago, to the point where I nearly left early as it was winding me up.

Wigan quite a few years ago was the first time I heard it so bad that our fans started mocking them by shouting it for every pass too, then the Wigan fans joined in to much hilarity.

One thing we will get out of it is that apparently he is going to name one of the stands after a Wigan legend (almost certainly Billy Boston). However, this hasn't gone down well with Latics' supporters.
