This one is for people who went to the fans forum. Having listened to what was said about the playing staff and junior development as well as Paul Medley's rousing speach do you think McNamara should be given more time.

My opinion is yes. What was said has inspired new confidence. There seems to be big plans for laying a winning foundation for the future of the club.

But for these seeds to flower, time and faith must be given in equal measure.

It won't be this year, or next year. Might not be 2011 either. But it's coming

Not trolling here at all. Is the complete re-building of the structure a job for the first team coach, or is this a football manager type role, or even the directors? The Alex Ferguson type role is pretty scarce these days.

I've just told my boss that I now intend to build for the future, and expect to be judged accordingly.

I'm sure he won't mind if our customers stop using us because my current output is of an unacceptable standard.

I think the answer is a clear no.

I've been one of the sack McNamara now briggade, look back through my posts you'll see I've been less than generous towards his tenure as head coach. But after last night, my opinion has changed.

We've been spolied to some degree by the Noble era and think success is a guarantee. It isn't.

We all heard a few truths about the Noble era last night, and Red and I learned a few more truths afterwards. The whole thing was built on sand, I would suggest - unlike now which is being built to be sustainable and enduring.

I think if they'd come out and stated this 3 years ago, McNamara might not have picked up some of the flak he's had come his way.

yes, the defeats and the lack of silverware is frustrating and disapointing. But Rome wasn't built in a day.

On comparing the head coaches’ job to "your" job: Can you really compare the two? The sporting arena is pretty different a sales job or a plumber or whatever.

On saying these things 3 years ago: Fair enough, but credit to them at the Bulls for just getting on with it and not bemoaning the previous regime. It is only because WE have asked why that the reasons are now being divulged.

Can it be equated to a high level management post?

None of this building for the future spin excuses the problems in terms of under-performance at first team level.

It's all well and good concentrating on the youth side of things, but one day these youths will be in the first team, and McNamara will have to make a much better fist of moulding them into a decent side than he is with our current first team.

It's not about winning everything, or expecting to win everything, it's about our players performing to a level which they are capable of on a regular basis, something which you cannot argue is happening at the moment, being focused on the future doesn't iron out the same problems in terms of game plan and repeated errors that we are subject to.

What evidence do we have that McNamara is progressing as a first team coach, which is his job? Not a lot.

My thoughts exactly is all well building for the future but you can't forget the now. It's that what is keeping the club.
