In an ideal world we would finish top and win the Grand Final, but in the real world we know that aint gonna happen......yet!

So where do you realistically feel we will finish next season, with a good run without any injuries, and if we can avoid the silly early season loses that have blighted the last couple of years, I can see us getting fourth??

Bit of luck and we could get to Wembley. Realistically we'll reach quarters or semis and then get knocked out.

League wise I reckon 4th if we play really well and don't have as many injuries as last year. Otherwise 5th or 6th.

Playoffs could go anywhere and we could see a side other than Leeds and Saints get to OT. The new format will throw up a couple of surprises I feel.

Burgess or Menzies for MOS.

Im quite optimistic about the comming season, i think alot is being put on Menzies shoulders rightly so IMO, but if the team gel quickly and Toupu keeps his promises we could push for top 3.

I think the a lot of players from last year have the ability to improve a great deal. People such as Nero, Solomona, Newton, Langley, Jeffries need to show some greater consistency throughout the year. Tupou if fit and ready could be a bonus but I remain unconvinced to be honest. I think we have signed a few quality players and with some luck with injuries I expect we can finish 3rd or more likely 4th.

Winning a trophy would be nice but perhaps pretty unlikely other that maybe in the CC, but we need to see the club stringing more than 2 or 3 wins together at a time. A reasonably consistent league performance with a top 4 finish and a win against Leeds would certainly be a step in the right direction. If we have a similar year to this past season and show no sign of improvement.. then I would support not renewing McNamara's contract. It's make or break time for quite a few at the club, I'm reasonably optimistic they can deliver though.

We will WIN the Superleague, Deacon will get Man of Steel & the Bulls will regain their title as the leading name in British Rugby League.

Nothing less will do, in my opinion

I think our season will go on the performances and consistancy of 3 players, they are Chris Nero, Micheal Platt and Ben Jeffries. If they can perform to the standard that they can there is no reason why we cant be challenging for the title, i think we are quite strong everywhere else. I really want to see a good season from Jeffries, he could be one of the best halfbacks in the league but he is not consistant to show that, the guy has Speed, good hands and a good kicking game but he is very frustrating at times. Leeds and St.Helens are going to struggle in the centres next year so we need a good season from Sykes and Nero to be up there. There is only Warrington who have 2 world class centres in the league.

Am not having a go here but do you really think your squad is anywhere near good enough (not just 1-17) to be anywhere near Leeds or Saints and come to think of it possibly Wigan?

Think you will also find that if we play Watkins and Senior at centre, we wont struggle!

If any of the above happen I will kneel down in front of you on the town hall steps.

At least a 3rd place finish is the minimum we should be aiming for. If we eradicate the silly mistakes which plagued us last season, improve our consistency and actualey have some tactics this is easily achievable.

. on paper we can match anyone- its wether we can translate that into performances on the pitch thats open to question. If we can stay clear of injuries and certain players play as well as we know they are capable of then 3rd/4th is a very realistic proposition.

I realisically expect us to be beaten convincingly by Wigan, Saints and Leeds. Also I expect us to struggle in games where we should really be winning comfortably. On top of that I expect an early cup exit and another 1st round play-off exit

Why ? Nobody in the league has a better pack than us, Deacon is a quality halfabck, its just up to the 1 to 6 guys to prove what they can do, theres big raps coming from Nero, Jeffries, Tupou ect if they can do what they say there going to do we will be up there.
I really feel Tame Tupou is going to have a big season for us. With a full pre season and no injurys worries he could possibly be one of the best wingers in the league, big statement i know, but last year he was made a scapegoat and he is a quality player when fit. 20 tries at least from the man mountain next year.

If we can eradicate the 'silly losses' in games we could or should be winning, there were six or seven instances at least of this last year, Saints at home being one, then we can finish fourth

Yes. Big raps coming from last years underachieving players. You'll forgive me if I don't leap for joy. Bad back you know

If the new players fit in to the team
If you do not have any major injuries
if Mc namara gets training, selection and tactics right
if players play to their potential
If your academy players step up when needed
if you do not have any major disciplinary problems
If ref's deciscions go for you
if you have good luck
If other teams recruitment etc does not work or they have major problems with any of the above

if all of these things go for you, you could finsh about 3rd.
if not and some of the things mentioned above go wrong for you you could finsih as low as 8th.

most of the other posts on here come under the heading optimism.

you are no better or worse than about 5 other teams you are competing with ( excluding saints and Leeds). the issue is how much luck you have.

Been said a lot of times before, for eg before the 2007 season, when a side widely tipped to miss the play-offs chalenged for top spot throughout the year despite one actual and one virtual (cheers Ganson) points deduction. Despite this consistent under-tipping, Bulls' lowest SL finish remains fifth.

If Deacon can remain injury free and Jeffries can establish a good rapport alongside him in the halves (which after all they didn't get much of a chance to do last season with Deac's injuries and with Harris still around), then Bradford will have a stable platform upon which to build next year.

Compare that say to Wigan, who are going with a new half-back combination (virtually), and a new hooker. Teams who are successful build around a solid core that gels together. Teams who constantly replace players in core positions on the other hand have a tendency toward inconsistency.

Remember the team has really been in a rebuilding phase over the past couple of years, but with the old guard now gone things can progress steadily.

I think that's a bit optimistic. I don't think our backs are good enough to secure 3rd.

I'd say that 5th is the best we'll manage.

If we have a better record against the likes of Saints, Wigan and Leeds, see some youngsters come through and avoid as many embarassing slip ups then that will be an improvement in my eyes.

Being realistic the Bulls should aim for a top 4 finish, but imo they will finish no higher than 4th at best, most probably 5th

Teams that will definately <imo> finish higher than the Bulls are:
Saints, Rhinos & Wigan
