If, and it's still an IF, Richards has been sacked / released, how dumb will it make Peter Hood look?

A few weeks ago he was giving them (the coaching backing staff) his full backing.

I guess it just goes to show you take what is said in the press with a pinch of salt.

Richards was acting as coach of the academy yesterday.

Did he? I remember him saying the backroom staff had not been "ruthlessly sacked" as was stated in the T&A but nowhere did he confirm they would be staying on for next year IIRC (?) it looked to me like the club (Hood) just took issue with the timing and wording from the T&A, he never refuted the underlying story IMHO.

Like the signings rumours though, I'm not believing anything in the press until the club confirm or deny it, and I might not even belive it then

Don't know whats happening at the club at the moment but it seems to be sum amateurish in it's running.

Just got back from the magazine library and Sir Jimmy has signed a new deal with Wire - they have let Nigel Halmshaw go though.

Just had a thought on this.

Now that the season has finished for the academy lads too, there's now an opportunity to "release" members of the coaching staff without it having a detrimental effect on other people within the club.

We could have the mother of all press conferences this week:

1. Burgess off to Aus
2. Release of certain backroom staff
3. Introduction of new backroom staff
4. Announcement of new signings to replace those leaving
5. Confirmation of Semi staying put or going to union.

Anything else anyone can think of?

We'll want to do it all in one go as we'll need to save cash on announcing these. Tea and biscuits for the media don't come cheap you know, so doing it all in one go could be the way forward.

You're missing the annoucement of another feasibility study for OSV, commitee to report back in January for further discussion on the various funding streams....

The OSV goes without saying really. Although I did see on the council jobs adverts a few weeks back that they were recruiting for a project manager or two for the project. Probably someone to do the feasability study!

We could also show our new home strip - I imagine we're due another one this coming season.
