must admit i was waiting for the punch line on reading this.cant say ive heard of him.

I've gotta say, I'm happy to hear that we've now signed 3 players and they're all three-quarters. We've been saying for ages how weak we are in those areas, so this gives a lot of hope IMO.

If we could just sign another half now, I for one would be a very happy man.

He's a kicker too, promising winger who hasn't quite made the step up, could be just the type of player to really kick on here.

Considering we already have Sykes, Platt, Walker, Crookes & Wardle for centre positions, along with Kearney, Halley, Platt & Sykes vying for Fullback, I'd say the most likely position for Patrick is going to be the wing.

2 of Ah Van, Ainscough, Halley and Finigan has to be a better option than Sheriffe and Reardon, so that's an improvement straight away for me (and that's not including Crookes or Wardle as potential wingers)

I was going to ask that. He is a Samoan international, so does that mean anything?

Although it's looking as though Sykes is now our stand-off unless Kearney is moving there permantly. In which case Halley is our fullback....

Checking Roofoldo's squad list it seems they are both contracted for next season...

Both Halley and Crookes are contracted for next season.

Wardle is the only one I've listed who isn't signed up already, and I would expect that will come soon.

I personally am hoping with the options we have already, neither Sheriffe or Reardon are given new deals.

Never Heard of this guy anyone know what his strike rate is? As for Halley, if he is playing full back (or even playing in our first team) next year then its going to be another year of nothing kick returns, pathetic tackling efforts & a year of having no confidence in our last line of defence.

Or Reardon is retained and moved to FB with Kearney moved up to the halves.

Wouldnt like to see Platt dropped after his improvement.

There are options in the current squad granted, but I think it's fair to say most on here agree we need another recognised halfback - and not someone who can "fill in".

We need someone who can help to move us around the park if Orford is out. Kearney and Sykes don't appear capable of doing so for a prolonged period.
