Quote ="Bulliac"I admire your optimism BM, and it would be great if you're right, but I've seen nothing yet to make me think this whole charade isn't just to give the RFL their fixtures and nothing to do with setting up a viable club.
In one sense I can understand it. [iWe are[/i starting from scratch, that is one thing I've worked our for myself and I get the impression the new owners also realise that 2017 is a season where nothing can be gained, so they have maybe decided not to spend anything on it and then make an effort in 2018. I can sympathise with that as it chimes in with my own view. I'm just not sure why I should give a tinker's cuss about this next, wasted 10 months, when we're going through the motions, just to save the RFL's blushes. If they cared half as much about our club as they pretend we'd be in Champ1 and no points deducted. That might even give us something to cheer about.'"
I've no optimism. At the moment i can't be bothered to get optimistic or worried. What ever happens now doesn't really matter. We could assemble a good squad, start rebuilding, have a feelgood feeling round the place like we did under Green, and it all come crashing down again.
I personally think we'll survive, but it will be at least 3 or 4 years, with considerable investment before we can challenge at the top of the championship again.
