can guarantee there will be at least a dozen people wearing shirts of various vintages with we 8 rhinos on the back on any given home matchday. Are club going to refuse them entry?
Or is this just an excuse for a political decision to get rid of shop guy after he was vocal in his criticsm of the sale debacle at the the last home game? (Which I believe was the ill thought out brainwave of one of the directors).
If the club are seriously suggesting that "poor performance" was the reason for his dismissal then they are clearly living on cloud cuckoo land. I realise that I started this thread but I have to say that never before have I ever seen a thread dedicated to a person connected to a club who was not a member of the playing staff, coaches or directors etc. I started this specifically for a reason and the following posts seem to more than vindicate that I was right to do so.
To suggest then, "poor performance" in the shop seems to be completely at odds with what the paying customers seem to have been saying and commenting on.
This bright new era now has a massive cloud over it for me. I had hoped that the fabrications and half-truths (being generous) of the last regime would be a thing of the past. Sadly it still seems that we are still being sold down the river. Do the club think that we really are that thick?
(I will add here, once again, that my views are formed completely from what has has been reported. Of course there may be other issues behind the scenes but, if true, this has not been revealed.)
Mr Khan needs to come out now and clear this matter up. What a spectacular PR disaster this has been. Still, given who is still in his post in the PR area, this is hardly a surprise.
If the term "we 8 rhinos" is so offensive that it results in the removal of someone's livelihood, surely the club should look at where the offending merchandise was printed and paid for...........oh, that will be the club then!!
This makes me laugh, as Kate is on the board of directors, who made this decision and sheclaims her skills are "marketing, brand, communication and people" - these are all important to a club. (as quoted by herself on BBC Radio Leeds)
What a crock of . Give someone the reins up there who's not a complete muppet.
