Just a slight concern of mine in that we are giving away far too many cheap penalties away at crucial times during the game.

After just Four rounds of Stobart Super League action we have given away an unprecedented Forty Seven penalties.

I hope this is something that the coaching staff are working on because to give Warrington 10, 12 or 13 cheap repeat sets of six on Saturday, could see the need for the record books to be dusted off.

Most of the best sides have given away less than 20 though. Catalans only 14 so far, although they still have a game in hand.

Sides under the cosh in games tend to give up more penalties, not square or back the ten predominantly, but sometimes desperate tackles which 'go wrong'. I've not checked the stats but I'd guess the teams at the top concede fewest and the teams at the bottom the most. Very often for fans it's just a matter of accepting which is cause and which is effect.
