no S/L 2012 review papers out yet mate, just interested, and had to much spare time on me hands today


tbh our new signings at Rovers are getting mixed reviews, and i wondered what fans of other clubs thought of theres.

I would say I'm fairly happy with the signings we've made in the backs. I'm concerned we're a bit short up front.

The backline has been strengthened for sure and while everyone will be looking for instant success, and people must understand that it's yet another new backline combination which ultimately will take time before it reaches it's most potent best.

However the pack remains a massive worry for me in that far too many times last season we seemed to fall away at the most crucial periods during the games.

What we need to get back in our game for 2012 is that great Bradford forward influence, the powerful dominating forceful and intense mentality required to lay the effective platform for the backs to exploit the oppositions weaknesses.

I still say that an addition to the forwards wouldn't hurt us ahead of the new season, a new season despite my reservations in the pack, one which I'm quietly optimistic about.

What we really need is an 80 minute forward, someone who gives their all every game, not flashy, but hard working.

Someone like Andy Lynch would be good.

Noises coming out of the club suggest recruitment is now over. I'm not sure we're [iso[/i down in the front row to be fair. Having a fully fit Scruton back, Koppy keeping up his improvement and young Tom getting more time alongside our new signing (which I promise I'll learn to spell.....in a bit) we don't seem [ithat[/i badly off, though I admit one or two injuries would definitely put a different complexion on things, but I'm not going there, too full of optimism at the mo........roll on next season!
