It's like when teams get to Wembley and are then asked about it 20 times before each SL fixture until then and they all say "We're not thinking about Wembley at this time" when we all know it's not true.
To say we haven't been going into this game with any intensity with only a few press clippings to hand rather than watching them in training etc really isn't fair. What is probably more accurate is that the players haven't given the press any juicy quotes saying the playoffs are a done deal, and considering it still isn't in our hands it's probably the right move.
If players were coming out with "We're so fired up for the Hull match because now we'll get in the playoffs" - other people would be asking if we were too arrogant going into the match. IMO the players have stayed on the right side of the media this week so we don't look fools if it doesn't go our way.
