Written off, yes, in terms of the fact that I don't expect us to win anything or realistically even qualify for the play-offs. But certainly not written off in the sense that there are still plenty of games to go and there may still be plenty to cheer. The off-season lasts a long time and I'm happy that there are still matches to watch. I'm certainly not wishing it was all over. I've no doubt we'll see a few more painful defeats but I'm looking forward to the wins which will no doubt come along as well.
In terms of winning anything I`d have to say I gave up when we got kicked out of the cup. I couldn`t see beyond a Saints or Leeds win in SL right from the off to be honest. I`m disappointed to miss a play off berth though.
Playing like we did on Sunday with the inept defence we had, i'd rather not suffer the embarrasment of being hammered in the play-offs. Suffering embarrasment week in week out is bad enough.
