Sky coverage is a double edged sword. Sometimes it affects crowds but there's no denying that having your team appear on Sky is one of the things which attracts sponsorships and also helps to market your club to a wider audience.
How many people saw their first RL game on the television and decided to give a live game a try?
If two good teams are playing and the weather is good and the timing is right then there will be a decent crowd with the cameras there or not.
I bet all our best attended games in SL have been on Sky. All of them will have been against Leeds for one thing. Only one game against Leeds in SL was not on the television and that was at headingley.
