The next time I'm liberating the rich Tory in-laws stolen millions in the South Lakes I'll send you a note & ask the driver to take me across in the Bentley.

A group of former work colleagues and I spent a lunchtime staring at a group of waxwings in a tree at a major road junction in the centre of Stoke-on-Trent a few years ago.

We got a fantastic view of them as they were only 2-3 metres above our heads and they were absolutely beautiful. But move a little further away and they merely look like starlings - especially in flight.

Oh, and for anyone who's ever been to Stoke-on-Trent, we did indeed get lots of stares, barbed comments and one or two insults!

Was at Leighton Moss last week. Good time to see the Marsh Harriers - kept popping up all day. Shame we didn't see much else interesting.

When we were in Aviemore in Feb I clocked c40 waxwing - I have the picture on my phone, well I swear that's what the little dots are. ALso got my first crested tits - at Loch Garten, plus first native red squirrels.

I've look at that link for 20 minutes now and I can't see Simon at all.

Or anyone else from ANY of his mind numbing TV shows.
