Long was got rid of at Wigan for his off field activities particularly his assault on the young girl.

Correctamundo. He goes into detail in his book about that incident so i won't spoil it. Long realised when he was shiped to the Widdong that his RL career was in bits (albeit he was putting in good shows for them).

Its quite scary to think how good he could have been had he applied himself in the same way the likes of Farrell,Scully and Rads did.

I would argue that Long has been a world class player. He has achieved a vast amount.

I also feel that if you take away the unpredictable, wildman aspect of him, you would lose half the player.
