Amazing performance from Saints!

Thought the defence and positioning from Lomax tonight was superb. A great example for any wannabe fullback. Great vision for the final try too.

Wellens was fantastic and some of the performances from young lads (half of which i'd never heard of) were brilliant.

Really enjoyed the game tonight. Well done Saints. Hope Leigh and Saints keep 100% records all season

I've been quite vocal in writing off Lance as a half back over the last year or so, but I have to say that was an absolutely stirling half back performance. MOM for me.

Walker a 7. Give it up he was all over the place. Him & Flanagan stand out all night.

Where did that kicking game come from ?

His two best performances in a saints shirt have been Leeds at home.

I thought all was top class Today but I though Flanaghan, lomax and sia was a little bit special.

Hats off to Mose as well. Probably shouldn't be doing any more than 30 mins at this stage, but did more than double that because the team needed it. Awesome.

Cannot fault anyone. To have 9 first team players missing and to put that sort of performance in is incredible.

Leeds' defence was being talked about in the build up, but we showed how to defend tonight. Very impressive and they never looked like scoring in the second half, even during that sustained pressure.

Soliola and Flanagan where massive tonight. Absolutely massive!

Just re watched the highlights on sky. Cheered almost as loudly the second time tommy put that ball down!

Special mention to jones and greenwood. Both made half breaks in the last 5 minutes that meant we were in a position to go for the win. Big effort at the end of such a defensive performance.

I'll stick by my ratings. 7 is a good score!

Remember the word objectively. It was a defensive and tactical kicking master class. Attacking wise we rightly kept it conservative until the 2 moments of class to enable Mako to score. The players with 8s/9s/10s did were more productive going forward.

The stats will be interesting - they will show we played much of the game on the back foot in terms of metres gained. Defensively they should be epic .

I am not knocking an amazing performance in the circumstances.

What impressed me most was the last 10 mins and the defiance of not giving up and at 10-10 we were still trying to win the game.
One of the turning points in that period was a knackered Mose decicing to charge in at full speed at 4 leeds players, Ablett bottled it and decided to put in the shoulder charge, penalty and we got field position and momentum.

This stood out for me too at the time as a massive turning point. Also, Wellens setting up T Mak's first try - he looked like an ultra-psyched up beast!

If Walker has got a bend in his nose. I'm sure the old hands will be welcoming to the prop forwards union, he has just passed his membership test.

Ant walker is a real tough lad. He will brush the broken nose off and be straight back out there.

It's been a long time since we've produced some really big young forwards. Richards, Walker, Saveilo, Thompson and greenwood are physically ready at young ages to play top level super league.
