I was sat right near where foster went thru, no way he would have scored on the outside but should have took the tackle rather than kick.

| Foster for me is too small to play rugby league. He is a plucky kid who has done superbly to overcome the potentially demoralising horror show at Salford earlier in the season. But he's like a toy to most Super League wingers, he would need to double in girth to play in the centres IMO.
It's not like he's blessed with pace either, he's no flyer.

I agree. I have no idea why there is criticism from our fans of Foster. He certainly wasn't scared to take on Richards in the air, contesting for the ball. The fact that Richards had the experience to jump in front of Foster meant that Foster didn't get the ball. But he damn well tried. He didn't let us down at all. Nor did Dixon or Lomax. The way Lomax saved the try was fantastic. Had only the whole team showed that dedication to defence we might have been in with a chance, halfbacks or not. Alas, our defence has been poor all season.

You watched a different game to me. Foster was by far a better player than lomax in that game. I don't recall him throwing the ball away once.

| From a Wigan supporter! Foster was one of Saints better players last night, didnt do anything wrong! Showed great confidence for a young lad.....as for being too small......Sam Tomkins springs to mind! Foster has class, you can tell that when you watch him, he's confident, fast, can read the game, always in the right position! All players senior and young have nightmare games, last night for Foster was not one of them, and he can hold his head high! He's young, and a positive for Saints is, he only going to get better!!

| Foster I'm sure will become a solid super league player theres no question about that but at 20 he is no real threat with ball in hand.

| Foster isn't scared nor did he throw the ball away.
He "threw" the ball to team mates in a couple of plays where Saints were trying to keep the ball alive in the attempt to get it wide and outflank Wigan.
Whilst no flyer he does have good deal of pace.
The one thing that hasn't been mentioned is his goalkicking.
Without him Saints are struggling if Lomax and Eastmond are out.
With it being Lomax's first game for a while I thought Foster was doing the kicking as he has for a number of weeks.
Foster suffered, like all Saints backs, from playing behind a pack that was outplayed.
This criticism of Foster is unfounded.

What a pile of steaming bollox! Jamie Foster has shown without any doubt whatsoever that he works his butt off for the team. He has cleaned up our messes for weeks now. He has put his body on the line in defence, including catching some highly pressurised bombs, and he has taken the ball up as fast and as far as he can. He has been consistently praised by pundits and fans equally for his positional sense, his goal kicking and his determination. To question Foster's commitment to the Saints cause is ridiculous to the extreme.

| Foster IMO was brought in at first as we had no goal kickers fit but he then played himself into the team and has been very very good for us.
His reading of the game is his best ability from what ive seen so far and very safe under the high ball.
