| Wilkin was good today, Pryce and Graham and even Puletua too. The execution when on their line was the issue. We turned a 20 point win into a defeat such was the lack of composure and decision making when it mattered.
Had Slong been around today we'd have won by a good distance.

Puletua let two tries go and one I cannot forgive him for because he dropped a good ball when actually over the tryline. So he wasn't good in my book. Jammer was better once he stopped passing those stoopid balls although he was undermined by that high shot. I hope he gets a break on Monday and Fozzy plays instead. Pryce worked hard although he dropped the ball a couple of times. Wilkin was good and worked hard but gave away at least two penalties for high shots.
As I say, I can only remember Gardner not botching anything and not giving anything away. I'm struggling to think of anyone else who actually had what I would call a good game. But perhaps I'm blinkered by the remnants of frustration and disappointment I felt at the Saints performance.
I agree with you about Seany babes. Kyle may as well not have been on the pitch, except for that one excellent kick which was caught and scored by Ade.

I'm guessing you didn't tape the Hull KR FC game? Long was terrible to day and would have contributed even less than Eastmond did.

| Think we should have had Foz instead of Dixon on the bench. Our MOM was Gardner. Defended well and took his try well.
When Carmont was injured and hopping about on one leg why-o-why did we go the to the opposite wing?
I don't think we can blame Potter. I don't think we have much brains in the team

Yes it became obvious pretty early on that we were not going to win by just bashing them down the middle.
The worst thing for me is that because of the result everyone in the press will be thinking wigan are world beaters instead of how poor we have become at times under HP.
I can't fault the players efforts but the words headless and chickens comes to mind.

| well they seemed a lot better after half time after potter had spoken to the players.. the conditions were never going to be for tactics to throw it around, wigan employed similar tactics. for me it showed how badly we missed the pace of wheeler in our backline, dean simply isn't good enough as a centre

If Wigan had Puletua in our current squad I genuinely think we would be as unstoppable as any team can be in this competition.

He played well, but he didn't appear to want to do the hard work in your own half. I really feel sorry for James Graham in that respect.

James Graham, Roby and Wilkin were the only ones in the pack who had good games, the rest were awful.

Not sure whether you meant just the forwards or generally, but Gardner didn't put a foot wrong. So that makes four of our players who had good games!

| I actually thought that Wilkin was the best saints forward when he moved into the pack today, he ran well above his weight and has that extra little zip compared to his fellow fowards.
As an outsider loooking in I think Saints have two main issues.
1. They need Pryce to be ivolved as much as possible as he is by far your most dangerous attacker.
2. Playing Cunningham, Roby and Moore in the same side just doesn't work - 2 out 3 for me.

Nonsense, I don't see enough of Saints to get into comparing him with Eastmond but although Long didn't have his best game today he set up a vital try with an outstanding short kick and his defence (when being targeted for the entire game) was outstanding.

Gardner was pretty good in defence yesterday. He made some great ball and all tackles when they had overlap. I wouldn't like to defend out wide the way wigan nade a overlap outwide everytime they moved the ball wide.
IMO KC was shocking! All this talk all week about how he was going to be up for the last ever good friday derby was a joke.
Wigan was up for it in first 20 mins which set the platform of the game, tomkins hit everything early on.

James Graham, roby was very very good. I thought roby was our best player by a mile.
Wilkin was ok, didnt play much like a stand off to be honest, some people say thats his best postion
Moving pryce to fullback didnt work to be honest, we lost our attack from the halfbacks. Eastmond needed a standoff with him yesterday, potter should have moved pryce to 6 for 2nd half to play alongside kyle, who he would have moved to fullback would have been a problem.

I'd agree with that and add that we missed Wheeler at centre, Dean offered very little threat.
