Look mate, that's the way I seen it with my own eyes at the game and then on the replay. That's the way the ref seen it as he had words with him, the rfl have said its in the refs report and will be investigated, so it's clear something did happen.

You will not change my view on this with constant backing of very poor behaviour by Hock and I don't expect to change your view on it.

It's history now so I'm going to draw a line under it from my side as I'm bored stiff with it to be honest.

If the rfl charge then IMO rightly so, if not then its done with.

In no way am I backing poor behaviour. I have said that Hock or Wellens shouldn't have thrown the ball into the crowd. The ref. dealt with it and if the RFL follow it up then I have no problem with that. What I have an issue with is the OTT reaction from Stains fans.

Right show me the clip of Wellens doing the same that you vermin fans are banging on about.

Interestingly there's a decent clip of LMS kicking the ball into the crowd form last year on youtube. I suppose somebody who could be bothered could find you a clip, but let me guess, if it's not on the internet it didn't happen?

Im just disappointed with him, he is a very good player with great handling skills but he doesn't half let himself down with some of the stuff he does.
The penalty with Perry was an absolute shambles. He moved off the mark, Josh grabbed his hand and slapped it, Hock then slapped Perry and both of them put their handbags away after it. Bentham should have just told him to go back to the mark and stop being such absolute girls.

There was no need for him to put the ball in the crowd like he did but as far as i know, nobody was hurt. A lot of frustration at my own team came out giving Hock my twopence after his incident. End of the day he was silly and could have started a bit of a kerfuffle between the crowd and the stewards/police. I was sat in the SW corner under the Police box and they saw it too so if anyone did want to come forward then there was a presence there.

Hock came forward and said he was guilty and did his time, as far as I'm concerned i spend very very little time thinking about him and not letting him get to me. I think a lot of people on here could do the same.

Hock played well, we lost, he did something silly and its blown up. Get on with your lives.

I've never said it was ok but keep it in perspective. It was a ball. If you think that somebody throwing into the crowd means some fans have the right to behave like hooligans that's your choice but I don't. Like I said earlier, tempers run high but the way people were rushing forward, beer going and what have you was comical. Fine I guess if that's all it was but it looked a bit loutish and classless, exactly like Hock's behaviour.

The fans can't complain about Hock acting like a tool if they then follow his lead. It's like saying "Thou shalt not kill" then going and killing somebody and saying "Well they did it first". In fact, it is why when you retaliate in league (on the field) you get a penalty given against you because if you are struck you are expected to keep your cool and not respond (I understand there are physical tactical situations in which this may arise and fisticuffs may be deemed necessary as a valid response, however generally it is expected that you do not retaliate). If we apply that principle on the field why wouldn't you want to apply it on the terraces?

When he learns too pass a ball he may very well be, and you know it's a criticism I've had for a long time. He's a very dangerous ball runner and may be better suited as a 13, which is where I first saw him play.

He may not be highly rated by Rogues, but I'll just take the rating that the ozzies give him. He took Leeds apart and Wire too. Even when Cunningham was at his best he could pass stinkers to ground and make runs that gained 2 inches. When Long and Tommy used to play, they were so good as if one had a bad day the other could cover. If they both had good days we where unstoppable.

The problem with the current team is there are less go to players, so if key names have a bad day, then we don't have that cover across the park.

From the line up on Friday

In the pack our key players were Roby, TP and Sia. (I've not seen Sia since the incident so have no idea if he is back at the same level he left and TP was injured the week before)

In the backs our key players are Lance, lomax. Given that Lomax was injured that left Lance to do it all in the backs and that simply is not enough.

The rest of the team can put in performances don't get me wrong, but have any of these players ever took a game by the scruff of the neck and impossed themselves on it. Makinson, Ade, Shenton, Josh Jones, Meli.

Same for our pack, Perry can have a stormer, but it is usually when the rest of the team is too.. Perry, LMS, Flannery, Flanaghan, Clough, Megennis.

I'm not saying they are poor players or even average players, but when it goes wrong to win big games you need someone to take hold of the game, but because we lacked the players to do it then Roby gets marked as not being up to his usual best, where as Cunningham would have had Scully, Jonyt, and a big Ozzie prop to back him up.

I've not heard about Sia or TP from the game, so if they are not back to 100% then that leaves would leave us with Lance and Roby trying to create for us.

Great player - nasty piece of work. The kind of player you love if they play for you and despise otherwise - lord knows we've had more than a few of them down the years. At least he doesn't hide or just pick on the little guys like certain players at certain clubs situated over the Pennines. He's undoubtedly a *****house, but we might be better off with a few similar *****houses in the squad right now too.

Just looked at this, I can see why some saints fans may be unhappy with the try celebration but saying "once a smack head always a smack head" is probably harsh. Considering what Hock had to do to come back to Super League its quite an achievement he is back at all.

Also Saints fans saying that Wigan folk are idiots and "should ask for a refund of their taxes" because of it probably doesnt paint Saints fans as a whole in a good picture.

A big rivalry is good, but outright nastiness towards other fans should be left in Football.

And also, "Wigan is a football town".
