Wellens should go for the op mate to be honest! I have confidence in Lomax that he will do the job in his absence. The sooner he gets done the better and then he can be firing come the buisness end of the season. |

I have too agree on this. If we go with 3 forwards in some games we will be knackered upfront come the end of the season. |

But with only 4 places avaliable and roby/Kc interchanging giving only 3, how are we going to gradually introduce a halfback to replace longy? Its a bit of a conundrum. If we play with 2 forwards + robes against the perceived "weaker teams" is a possibility, if we loose a game or two but find out that we have a true star in Eastmond it would be worth it. |

If Leeds were to lose, we could throw all the available kids in to give them some experience. As mentioned if Eastmond is pencilled in for Long's shoes he should be playing now, if things don't go as planned bring Long on and stick Eastmond to fullback.

If Wello is out then Lomax should play FB. It is his position and we need to see how he will develop in the position he is going to eventually play. If Eastmond is to play then it is in HIS position.
Everybody is loving Eastmond at the minute, therefore he plays ahead of Longy.
Either of your options we would end up with Lomax or Eastmond on the bench and while that is fine for the odd game for 3/4 weeks i'd rather have a proper bench (1 hooker, 1 2nd row and 2 props) than only one prop.
To go with your suggestion would need either Ashurst or one of Hargreaves/Fa'asavalu to be dropped. |

I wouldn'y call it dropped, i would rest each of our props for a game each if poss. The league setup combined with our league position means we dont need to win every game. You have to break a few eggs etc. |

To be fair he's only started playing full back this year. But I agree with you that, with the other kids around, that is the position he's likely to fill if he makes it. |
