It's also as if we don't have only Sam to rely on now to be a match winner whereas last year he was stealing all the headlines. Joel was starting to get in his comfort zone and wasn't performing to a consistent level that he is now. Sam's pass (1 of many examples this year) for Richards 2nd try at Salford at the weekend is an indication that he won't disappear as much as you'd like him to

I remember Danny Orr throwing the same kind of passes. Tomkins doesnt have the X Factor. Players like Burrow, mcguire, long and Pryce, had it when they were younger.

I stand by my, hes danny orr mark2, claim and I know I will be proved correct in the long run. As I said, he will have a long anf successful career in SL and you cant take that away from him, but he wont be in the same class as any names ive mentioned bar Orr.

You do have a fixation about Tomkins don't you. After all it was you who brought him into a discussion that was about Eastmond.

So you will be proved correct, just as you were with this famous prediction.



What happens to Tomkins, or Eastmond for that matter, only time will tell, but I expect they will be barring injury be first choice England half backs on tour this autumn.

This is exactly why I won't accept the point 'Tomkins played more than Eastmond last season'. Eastmond had 17 appearances before Tomkins even had 1!

I still stand by what I said though they are both very different but both very exciting players. For any fan of either side to say that the other player is average or just another Danny Orr is just stupid.

You also claimed Eastmond was nailed on to be going to Union after speaking to some wakefield fans who claimed they knew his family and lastly, you claimed Eastmond was ducking out of tackles etc and was too scared of being injured.

Eastmond was going to Sale,you were told this by somebody very close to Eastmond. Actually I think the inference was It was a member of his family.
You also told us through one of you impeccable sources that Eastmond was the type of player that looked at the opposition team sheet and if there was a big nasty opposition player he didnt fancy playing against he'd feign an injury.

I have been reading these boards for years and Rogues has never said that those players were certain to play for GB, he just rated them very highly and rightly so. Anyone watching the reserves at the time would of been stupid not to. I don't see how accusing someone of lying should help you prove your point!

Way before the scooter hooker debate, I said I overheard a very well well respected coach commenting to a then club RL director that he thought McIlorum was great prospect.
McIlorum was then 17 -18 years old.

I also said that I thought McIlorum would be an International player, something he has already achieved with Ireland and something I still think will happen with England / GB if he stays injury free, which sadly he has major problems with.
