He was a good player when he left, but Longy was better. If we hadn't had Longy, Lee would have been here his entire career and won a whole lot more than one challenge cup which is a shame for such a talented player

Absolutely - Briers would never have gotten a game at Saints while Longy was on the scene. He'd have been exactly what we've been lacking for the last 3 or 4 years however. Maybe if Saints had played it differently back then he'd have been happy to sit in the reserves for 10 years waiting for his chance, but I doubt it.

IMO the pack is to soft. Perry, flannery and wilkin ain't good enough, we lack power and aggression and no forwards break the line.

The back line offers nothing in attack, we are slow and lack idea in the halves.

In the real world, not a fantasy land of the league of 15 years ago, compared to other sides in the league, given the very poor available level of talent in the game right now, our 3/4 line is more than capable of the job given decent coaching/tactics/supply and a return to form/fitness of a few current underperformers, and as good as or better than most other 3/4 lines in the league. In fact I'd say only Warrington's is significantly better. You're living in the land of Cloud Cuckoos if you believe otherwise.

I didn't like him feigning a facial injury after tackling Tomkins. Pretending to have been kicked in the face, writhing around holding his face. Only to jump to feet as soon as he realized a penalty wasn't forthcoming. Very cheap!

As for your pack only Roby would get a chance in the starting six at Wigan, and even then I'm honestly not sure that I would start him ahead of Mickey Mac. Two games head to head this year and Mickey Mac has come out on top.

That's not a dismissal of Roby, but as I've said before with the players you have I would use Hohoia at 9, and Roby at 13, because that Saints pack is not good enough.

No he hasn't. Wigan won the games, but not because of McIllorum.

Because you won it's very, very easy to gloss over what was an appalling performance from Wigan. Had Saints come up with three out of nowhere tries (For example from kicks) and won that game, there would be an almighty post-mortem going on. I've never seen a side as indisciplined as this current-era Wigan side. They were terrible under Maguire and his regime seems to be wearing off and it's getting worse. The third or fourth man (Who almost always attacks the knee joint, something they really need to stop) goes in on the 'held' call so many times.

I'll bet you are glad you've not got Warrington or Huddersfield in the semi final.
