| Ok kids, lets end the ing contest now, both sides, usual terms for testing me.
The truth is it'll be a damn shame if we can't have it at the DW and not just for Wigan, for all of RL

And some want to reduce Super League to 12 teams! and Tony Colquit also calls for more cup tournaments the attendances at 90% of the challenge cup are a disgrace to the game! Just hope that it can be played at the DW and at least bring so normality back to attendances!

| Come on people - calm the sugar down!!!!
It will hopefully be sorted today and we can all look forward to a brilliant cup quarter final. My vote would be Warrington rather than Widnes if we can't play at the DW.
But whatever happens, happens.
Chill!

| If it's not at Wigan then I would prefer Wire's ground, but then again Widnes has more seating for the ones who like to sit which is a considerable number of folk in reality.

£10 a ticket / £5 concessions and play it at Old Trafford. More or less what Saracens and Harlequins did with Wembley and Twickenham.

| Bolton would be nice if we filled it? Although I assume there (and Old Trafford) would have the same problem as the DW regarding football fixtures.

| Were it up to me it would be played at Langtree Park. If Wigan are unable to accommodate the fixture, which looks to be the case, it should revert to the oppositions ground.
I'd rather play it away from home anyway, on the road is where we perform best. Plus we've got a great record at LP.

| For me Leigh and Widnes are both wholy unsuitable for this match.
I do not think Leigh would have the capacity so some fans would not get in and the pitch at Widnes is not great and in my view not ideal for playing a match like this.

10,000 in Old Trafford is going to look like the women's rugby at Twickenham. We won't get much more than that because there's the MM weekend a couple of weeks later that's cost me £15 to watch four games, including two big derbies and the Airport rivalry as well.

Didnt even fill the Halliwell Jones last season for a semi-final after complaints on boths side that it was "to small".

We might as well argue about LP and the Allianz Arena, since Wigan can't play cup quarter finals there either.

| It's wonderful to see the Pie Eaters sweat over this. Normally I'd feel some measure of sympathy and the RL fan in me would prevail, but with the amount of arrogant stick they've dished out over Langtree Park (i.e. bravado to cover their jealousy) about their fantastic stadium and their wonderful rental agreement that is so preferable to ownership, their smearing and mud-slinging about Langtree Park being half-finished and a financial white elephant, it's very enjoyable indeed.
FIOS indeed

Ian Leneghan was on Wish FM tonight saying that a decision will be made by the RFL within 36 hours. This is in accordance with operational rules as nobody could agree on when and where to play it. Whelan wants the game played on Friday night and Leneghan, being his puppy dog, has been pushing for that. But the BBC don't screen sports on a Friday night (I don't remember them ever doing so, so it isn't a shock, like). Hence, stalemate.
So I believe the decision now lies with the RFL. Why on earth the RFL did not insist Wigan make contingency plans in the event of this happening I do not know, given that it happened two years ago in the playoffs.
