I would not be so sure.
Whether he goes to Sale or not, the rumours of problems between Kyle and Saints have more than a degree of foundation and I'm pretty much resigned to losing him now.
Attitude problems or not, it's a massive blow for our future plans.

| He probably doesn't want to play 2nd fiddle to Brough. Kyle would have expected to be the main man when Long announced his departure.
If we do bring Brough in, which seems quite likely, it will be a right kick in the teeth.

Is it though? He has never put in an amazing performance at 7, i'm just not convinced. I think he could be a very good winger though

I really hope not. He has talent but i think players with the "criminals forehead" like him and sinfield should stay in yarkshire

My understanding is that his possible move to Sale is why we haven't let Smith go to Salford yet

The issues with his contracts date back years. I remember talking to a top exec after we got nilled at Catalans in 2007 with Kyle at 6 next to Longy and he said he would "send a copy of Kyle's performance to his agent to shut him up for a week".

on the contrary, if Offiah can demonstrate the massive earning potential of his players he will be inundated with business.
All he has to say is "I negiotated Myler from £X to £Y, and Eastmond from £P to £Q" and players' (parents) will be falling over themselves to sign for him.

OK - I will revise my opinion now that there are some thoughtful posters who seem to think there is foundation in this.
Also agree it would kick us backwards givent that Eastmond clearly has great potential. I think the myopia of those who think his loss isn't dmaging beggars belief, and another demonstartion of those expecting Ellery Hanley out of a kids.

I don't want to see Eastmond lost to Rugby Union. for the good of OUR GAME it would be better if he stayed (even if it isn't with Saints)
We need to look at salary cap allowances for kids who have come through clubs academy systems. I've been shot down before for advocating it, people claiming that I was only looking at Wigan interests.
Clearly I'm not.
We should not be losing the likes of Ashton, Eastmond and Smith to Rugby Union.
Go even further down the food chain.
Owen Farrell and George Ford should just be starting their Rugby League careers.
As I've previously stated, Union has a far greater media presence due to it's International and European competition.
Farrell and Ford at 17 years of age have already had two Rugby Union schoolboy tours.
Rant over.
