| BTW, I'm not having a dig at Pryce here. I just don't understand how someone can say that someone is world class and follow it up with "often goes missing". Surely that would make him "world class on his day" at best.

I maybe used the word missing wrongly. He just as his off days, as do most rugby league players. Lockyer, Thurston, Hodges, Lyon etc... They all have them.
Leon is the best British back in the game imo.

Pryce has too much weight on his shoulders. Eastmond has to take on more responsibility. A good learning experience today.'"
Kyle did go missing for spells but looked like he would make a break everytime he touched the ball.
I think he had 1 eye on next week to as I imagine he well up for a wembly performance.
Tonight he was the only real threat we had with the ball.

A blind neutral? as it was one player; Prescott. He propelled himself twice.

I agree, by a country mile. Unfortunately all the eyes were on the young half-backs, but Graham was fantastic doing the job of 4 men, only had 5mins rest as well. How he didn't get the MOM is beyond me.

I'd agree with that tbh.
It's great to see Tomkins and Eastmond doing so well but they've masked how good that fooking ginger bas*ard was
I said the other day it's not the metres per carry thats impressive because in truth it's not that great but just the amount of carries he makes
He's like some scouse zombie that just keeps coming back to life! Wigan hit him, he went down, wigan man went back into the defensive line and turned round only to find the big ginger bloke running at him again!
Unbelievable engine!

Glad to see someone agrees. Off the pitch for about 10 mins.(if that) He's not bad at ball-playing either just to confuse the opposition.

Just because you don't like a certain ? Give over. Ever heard of the phrase 'playing to the conditions'? Plenty of tries have been scored in the same manner.

I can read on no more, a 5 page thread and i am stumped on the fourth or fifth comment!
Do you seriously mean that.......did you watch the game?
You do realise Pryce played tonight and is not a player from the NRL?

His 'momentum' didn't carry him over the line, he was tackled by Prescott (I think) at least a metre before the line and his elbow hit the deck and therefore the tackle was complete.
He then 'shimmied' using his other hand out of Prescott's grasp and went over the line = double movement.
Watch it again, if it wasn't for the conditions he would have stopped dead a metre from the line, elbow on deck handover.
He carried on moving after his elbow hit the grass.'"
I really shouldn't bite but momentum and a soaking wet pitch carried him over. If it's a continuous movement(which it was, so no stop/start) then it's try time. Hundreds of tries have been awarded due to the momentum of a player carrying him over as he slides. And guess what, hundreds more like it will follow in years to come. Get over yourself, it was never in doubt, always a try. His 'slide' never stopped until he was over the whitewash, end of story.
By the way you can't rule it out on the grounds that he wouldn't have scored on a dry track, utter drivel. Fact is, it was raining and that means you can slide from 10 metres out and score as long you don't stop moving.

and that is classed as momentum.

I thought some of the kicks he put in were excellent it's just it wasnt consistent enough and too many times he was in the wrong position on the last which meant he was under too much pressure. Like you say though things like that come with experience, Wigan were in his face all night and he simply wont be used to the game at that kind of speed.

jammers ball playing is very good idea that DA used a few times last year.
As we well know he is our only prop and teams started to single him out for 3 defenders to smash him.
So he draws 3 men in then gives the pass.
I think DA used it to good effect against Leeds in the playoff last year.
